A relaxing vacation on Monomoscoy Island
"My husband and I stayed at this lovely waterfront home for 10 days, being familiar with the Mashpee area from previous summers on the Cape. Monomoscoy Island is very special - beautiful marshes with Ospreys, snowy egrets, herons flying above along with lots of other marsh birds. We took advantage of the kayaks available at the house to paddle along Great River many times during our stay - it was wonderful to just be able to get right into the water. Deb and Tim had everything we needed to enjoy the water and the outdoors. We ate outside every day with its beautiful water view, biked all over the area (it's relatively flat and easy to ride), and took many great day trips to our favorite Cape spots- Sandwich, Monomoy Island near Chatham, Woods Hole, Falmouth, and Wing Island in Brewster. But we also could have chosen to stay home and relax at the house and would have had a great relaxing time then as well! Deb shared the history of the island with us, since her family is one of the original residents here. Deb and Tim were most accommodating and willing to help out with advice, recommendations, and provide anything we needed. We'd highly recommend this house for a family or a couple that loves the water and the quietness of a slightly off the beaten track location, but with easy access to all the Cape has to offer."

"Peaceful, quiet, well maintained home with a HUGE kitchen / dining room. If you like to visit the cape with a large family (or simply like a lot of room to wiggle), look no further. This abode offers a comfy ‘lived in’ feel you never get from renting little cottages or motel rooms. With all the hustle and bustle of cape festivities, it’s nice to end the evening cooking on the grill in the spacious back deck with only birds and the breeze as background noise.
As far as the owners of the abode: Friendly, quick to respond, detailed (aesthetically and functionally) and don’t cut corners.
In short, the place offers balance.
Balance, in that you can rest peacefully and feel safe in a quant setting while sipping coffee as you read a book, make yourself a healthy snack, or get to bed early for the next days adventures.
Balance, in that a short distance away you can be biking in the hills of the dunes, singing off key to kereoke, or simply taking a romantic walk on one of several beaches watching the sun set across the ocean horizon.
I have always thought a great vacation meant the proximity of fun activities. That where you stayed mattered little since all you do is sleep there. Now that I discovered this vacation home, I realized I was missing half of what made a vacation extraordinay…
It’s about looking forward to going ‘home’, knowing the extra rest you get there makes your experiences for the next vacation day even better."

"First time at the Cape and we picked a great location. The community is great - small but it's the perfect size for a getaway. The beach is very clean and water warmer than expected. The condo was bigger than expected. It was the perfect size for 2 adults and 2 kids. I don't think more adults would work. It was very clean well maintained. I don't have any complaints besides needing A/C. The first half of the week the humidity was very high and after being at the beach or going for a bike ride it would have been nice to come home to refreshing A/C. We had every window open and fans running but it just didn't seem to cut it. Otherwise we enjoyed our time there. The marketplace was ok. Mashpee commons was better to walk around. It's a great spot to have day trips from. There are plenty of trails for old and young. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend Chris's place."

"This is a remarkable property in every way - the homes, the decor, the gardens, and the location are all heavenly. However, THEY DO NOT PROVIDE LINENS, so make sure you bring your own sheets and towels (we were not prepared!). No information available about the house, other than the cleaning they expected us to do before leaving, so there is some fumbling about to find things. That said, I'd come back in a heart beat and highly recommend this beautiful, serene get away."
