  • Perfect!

"What a wonderful home in a fabulous location. Easy to explore the entire Cape and islands from this home base. House was lovely and very comfortable with all amenities you could ask for. Beautiful beach just a short walk away, perfect for enjoying gorgeous sunsets. Chris & Paul were both very helpful before and during our stay. They made our anniversary trip very special!"

  • Wonderful first family vacation!

"The cozy cape cottage was the perfect place for our first vacation as a family with our 2 month old son and dog! We loved grilling out every night and the great outdoor space - yard and hammock. We took daily walks to the nearby bog / preserve and Bank Street beach. Harwich Port was a great home base for exploring towns all over the cape. We did whale watching out of Hyannis and managed to eat lobster every day of our trip! Nicole was so responsive and helpful before and during our visit. We did have to use the space heaters, but hear a new heating system is being installed in the house which is great. The only small issue we had was supplies mentioned in the book weren't at the house, eg dish soap, toiletries, charcoal and batteries were missing from the smoke and co2 alarms and they were taken down (safety was first for us, traveling with a newborn!) so we had to replace all of that. All in all the cottage provided a wonderful place for our week at the Cape and remembering this special time with our new son! We would love to come back!!"

  • Crocker Tavern is a Gem

"This past fall, my family and I had a reunion at the Crocker Tavern, and my stay left me with nothing but joyful and pleasant memories. I stayed at the tavern with my three children, my parents, my sister/her husband and her four kids, and my brother/his wife and his two kids. My father, a history buff, originally discovered the tavern in search of a historically rich home large enough for our immediate family to occupy. He instantaneously fell in love with the property, and the rest of us quickly followed. There are two bedrooms downstairs and four on the second floor, each named after a famous historical figure. I had the pleasure of residing in the room on the first floor by the living room, named after Cornelius Crocker. My family fit comfortably between the different rooms, all of which had room for cots and cradles for the younger members of the family. Additionally, there are five full baths, eliminating the issue of managing bathroom time. We all were able to have our privacy in our separate rooms, but we also LOVED being able to spend time together in the larger gathering rooms such as the living room and the dining room. When the reunion took place, we invited people into the tavern itself, but kept the primary center of activity in the adorable barn beside the house. We were able to set up chairs and tables with food inside of it, and tents in the beautiful yard. The backyard of the property is adorable, with beautiful flora and a charming little patio. The owners of this property have done a fabulous job of decorating each and every room uniquely while preserving the charming historical elements of the home. Despite the back-in-time ambiance, the house is equipped with modern appliances. The kitchen has a stove, dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator, plenty of pots and pans, and every utensil we could possibly need. This modern touch extends to the bedrooms with plenty of electrical sockets and a few televisions. Another wonderful part of the Crocker Tavern is the wonderful location in Barnstable. Right down the street are several pleasant surprises: an adorable little market with a large stock of groceries, two delicious restaurants, a liquor store, a yoga studio, a library, and more. My family had a lovely time taking morning walks together down to the gorgeous beach less than a mile away. The kids were so excited to see all of the ships at the pier and everyone enjoyed the large and peaceful beach."

  • Quintessential Cape Cod cottage

"We thoroughly enjoyed an unforgettable 2 week vacation in this fantastic picture-perfect cottage. While the ever-changing view can't be beat, a few additional highlights of our stay should be mentioned: - the outdoor shower gets afternoon sun, which adds to the experience - while small, we found the excellent SubZero refrigerator to be perfectly suited for a couple on vacation (and we cooked/grilled more than we ate out); the efficient ice maker was an extra bonus - the kayaks were a lot of fun and, compared to renting them, a great value-add - top-of-the-line, well-maintained large Weber grill - unbelievably comfortable hybrid latex mattress (we missed it so much that w/in 3 weeks of returning home we bought our own) - brand new Nespresso VertuoLine Espresso and Coffee maker with milk frother (if the incredible sunrise isn't enough of a stimulant)! - just down the street from Relish (arguably Ptown's best gourmet take-out and sandwich shop - their cupcakes are the ones to beat!) - a 24-hour visit from Hurricane Arthur proved how well built and solid the cottage is, as it didn't creak once - Lyn, the owner, was attentive, engaging, and an overall pleasure to deal with; she and her business partner, Maria, have clearly taken great care of this unique property. We're already counting down the days until our next visit in 2015! John & Rock"
