  • highly recommended

"We had an enjoyable, relaxing stay here. The house is comfortable, clean, welcoming, well maintained. (The owners had kindly provided all the necessary linens and various household supplies. A big difference with some other Cape rentals!) It's in a quiet, safe, pretty neighborhood. Nice for kids. Access to the pond is within a few minutes walk; we also found a small park with playground around the corner. Bourne has a lot to offer for families with younger kids; we were here with our five year old and she had a great time. She loved the Water Wizz waterpark, and I really liked biking and running along the Cape Cod Canal. Bourne town beaches and other beaches are nearby, for instance the picturesque Wareham town beach."

  • Excellent location, good layout for large family

"We had a great stay at this home. With a few easy fixes it would be perfect. The layout is nice for a large family to be able to hang out and visit. The open floor plan was great at night. It also has a den off of the living room so that the teens could have their own space. The rec room in the basement was great for entertaining the younger kids with games and tv. We enjoyed the large deck. The only negatives are easily fixable and some were done while we were there. The grill was not working for the first 3 days, which was difficult for a large crowd to cook. The oven was also not working well. The oven mitts were filthy and I replaced them myself. Can opener needs to be replaced. Also not clean on arrival. The cleaning crew came shortly after we arrived and spent less than 3o minutes there. Pretty ridiculous for a $200.00 cleaning fee that was charged.Especially since expectation was to wash and dry all towels, strip beds, clean all counters and broom clean before leaving. All in all I would still recommend to stay here."

  • So great you will have a hard time to leave...

"So great you will have a hard time to leave... ...and this is the only drawback we've found ;-) We unfortunately did not have a chance to meet Elaine and John but from first contact for information query to our phone contact after leave, everything was just great. All information given before hand made our arrival easy (although we arrived late at night). The house was perfectly / spotless clean, very cosy and fully ready. We just had to slip ourselves under the covers ! The equipment is perfect. Anything you could dream of in a house is there. Name it and you have it ! Weather was not warm enough this late April to use the outdoor terrace and the grill, nor to enjoy the beach that is just a stone throw away. No need to use you car in any case to get to the beach. It is just a short walk. In 10 minutes walk you are at Hyannis Harbour. In any case you do need a car to stock up the fridge - that's for sure - but you can leave your car in the spacious driveway after that. There are large supermarkets and a more than decent shopping mall (with high end stores) + a "whole foods" store (we love this chain) only 5 minutes away. We knew about Cape Cod although our last visit was 20 years ago. We came back from France to show the place to our kids and they really loved it (after New York, quite a contrast for them). This house is really the place you want to be when you want to discover Cape Cod. Do I recommend the place : Oh yes ! But be very careful, you may want to return very often !!!! Thanks Elaine and John Sebastien and Agnes"

  • Exceeded my expectations-Hidden Jewel

"The few photos on the website do not do it justice. The house was extremely well equipped. The deck is large, great for relaxing and entertaining with a beautiful view. The location was perfect for whatever you want to do. My brother caught a fish while canoeing on the pond within 1 min of casting. We rented bikes from Barbs in Brewster and went on the bike path. Brax Landing has a nice outdoor deck for lunch/dinner and drinks. The Sand Dollar bar had live entertainment and was a lively fun bar. My friends and family all had a great time and would love to return next summer."
