"I booked the Windmill as a surprise present for my wife and took our two year old, having first spent a few days in Boston. I cannot fault the Windmill in terms of its location or position. It's a few minutes walk from Chatham high street where there's enough going on to make it feel that there's something going on and people about (we visited end of October so cant speak about other times). To save repeating other posts - the location is wonderful, on the edge of the water, lovely to look out on during the day and allowing lovely autumn sunsets. Chatham's position on the Cape means it's equidistant from all the key attractions, but has the relaxed pace that make you feel as if you are away.
Being a character property, the stairs are steep and wooden, which our daughter loved but caused us a bit of angst, but what else would you expect from a Windmill. It didnt detract from the stay, just to make others aware. The rest of the windmill is beautifully decorated with enough mod cons to suit 2 (or 2.5) adults.
We also had the pleasure of meeting Stan and Linda, the owners.
Thank you for making our stay at the Windmill such a memorable experience and adding to our holiday. We feel really lucky to have stayed there and hope to visit again. I dont hesitate for a second in recommending the Windmill or the other properties within the plot

"Our family of four spent a week here and were very happy with everything this condo had to offer. Plenty of space, everything was well maintained and extremely clean, the kitchen - well equipped. The third floor balcony had a great view of the sunset. The garage was essential for parking our bikes out of the elements. The decor was so airy and beautiful, that we found ourselves staying at home at night, playing games and watching TV, instead of going to town. Commercial St. is a 5-10 minute walk away - across the big parking lot behind the condos. If you ride bikes - even less. Mac's restaurant ,within a walking distance, is pretty good: we tried their salmon and the sushi. The local Stop and Shop is also within walking distance. Jill, the manager, was very helpful and cheerful. What more can I say? Will definitely come back in the future!"

House was nice and modern, very stuffy and needs better air conditioning for summer rental.
"The house was nice. We were pretty well only there to sleep and didn't spend much tie at the house. There were a few house keeping issues that I wouldn't have expected at the price they are charging but better then staying in a hotel."

"My family recently spent two weeks in the house. It was comfortable, quiet, immaculate, deliciously air conditioned during the recent heat wave, and had an airy front porch and yard. I brought my two dogs and the property was perfect for them. The kitchen, family room and back patio were great places to relax. The area has a beautiful fresh water lake and and several nearby beaches, a multitude of good restaurants and is located conveniently for exploring other parts of Cape Cod. It was so comfortable that I rented it again for next summer. An added benefit was having the landlord in a home behind the property for emergencies, like locking oneself out! He could not have been more helpful during our stay."
