  • Excellent

"Our families stayed for a week this summer. Had a wonderful time - great location (around the corner from THE BEST ice cream shop - walked there every night after dinner). The boys (all adults) played Frisbee, etc in the large yard every day, we walked to the beach every day -- you can't park any closer to the beach without permits. Enjoyed the porch morning, noon & night. The best part was the ability to have all of our meals 'in'. Great kitchen, outdoor grill, etc. We will definitely be back."

  • Great Vacation and location

"The house was perfect for our vacation. Our kids had room to play in the backyard and there were even duplos in the house for them to play with. The location is private, but still walking distance to town. The back deck was a nice spot to grill and have a nice meal. If we vacation on the cape again we would rent this house again."

  • Lovely

"This is a lovely rental, clean and well maintained, and only steps from the sound with beautiful sunsets, and a short walk to town. The house has everything you need and is perfect for large families: Beach towels, washer and dryer, dishwasher, dishes, pots and pans (if you want to cook -we ate out mostly), out door shower and three bathrooms, fenced in yard for kids, sand chairs in the shed, and games for the evening or a raining day. A walk to town for breakfast or coffee and a pastry is always pleasant, and a glass of wine on the deck is lovely. There are a number of good places to eat in or near Harwich Port ranging from seafood shacks to gourmet dining, and on a raining day try taking art lessons (adults and children) at the Pickett Fence in town. Chatham ( the next town up) is a good place to go shopping for nice gifts for an "outing," and there are some good places to eat there too, as well as seal watching. Stop by the Chamber of Commerce in Harwich Port for brochures on activities and sight seeing. The landlord is very helpful so don't hesitate to ask for suggestions and guidance."

  • The perfect Cape house!

"We stay at this wonderful house every year, and it's the highlight of our summer. The house is perfect for larger groups -- and also a treat for just the two of us when we want to escape. There's nothing better than coming home from the beach, opening a bottle of wine, and relaxing on the back deck. Within walking distance to town, the house is amazingly quiet. We love it there!"

Harwich Port Travel Tips

Harwich Port Vacation Rentals Let Visitors Take a Step Back in Time

Located in the southeast section of Lower Cape Cod, Harwich was incorporated as a town in 1694 and is a snippet of old America at its finest. It was named after the most famous seaport in England. With Harwich Port vacation rentals, visitors can immerse themselves in old world charm while enjoying modern conveniences and activities like band concerts, antique shops, and museums.

Harwich Cranberry Festival Draws Thousands

Harvesting of cranberries for commercial use began in Harwich in 1844 and is still a large industry in the area today. Harwich Port beach homes are one of the best ways to experience the annual Harwich Cranberry Festival, one of the largest and oldest festivals on Cape Cod. The ten-day-long event in September draws more than 100,000 people to the area every year and is said to host the most spectacular fireworks display in all of New England.

Harwich Port Has Something for Everyone

Even if you're not particularly interested in celebrating the joys of cranberries, Harwich Port still has plenty to offer you. Whether you're in the mood for a calming, solitary getaway or in search of a place where your entire family will be welcomed and entertained, Harwich Port is an excellent destination. It's a deeply artistic and cultural area, with music festivals, galleries, and theaters aplenty to keep you entertained. You can also go bicycling, fishing, swimming, boating, or golfing. If relaxation is all you're looking for, Harwich Port provides plenty of opportunities for that, too. There are 22 beaches in the area, both fresh and saltwater, and they all serve as perfect places to lounge, stroll, and relax. So if you're in search of Cape Cod lodging that has something to offer everyone, consider renting a vacation home in Harwich Port.
