  • Keep Coming Back!

"This place really is a "home away from home" and not your typical beach rental. We have vacationed at this house for the past 4 summers and each year the owners add improvements to ensure a positive stay. They truly care about their property and do their best to make sure you enjoy the property as much as they do (including a "goody basket" upon arrival!) Our kids are 3 and a 6 years old and the house is perfect for them. Large backyard for whiffle ball or Frisbee, huge deck to eat/enjoy drinks, and finish the night with a fire in the fire pit and roasting marshmellows. In addition, the neighborhood is quiet with very little traffic, which allows for plenty of safe walks, bike rides, scooters, etc. We especially like the walk to the subdivision pool, a short 5 minutes away. The pool was always a nice option in the afternoon after a morning at the beach followed by lunch and naps :) With the house centrally located to everything, it's easy to find what you want. The beach, grocery store, local outdoor marketplace, ice cream parlors, restaurants, pizza, bars, and even bowling alleys are ALL less than 5 mins away. In addition, we've taken a liking to driving the 20 minutes to Falmouth to visit the downtown area and then rent bikes to enjoy the scenic bike path along the ocean. It's important to point out that this house initially appealed to us because they have a crib ready to go so we didn't have to pack one. While we no longer need/use it, it's still in the house and a GREAT amenity for families with a little one. We keep coming back because there isn't a better place out there. The quiet, the cleanliness, the space, the owners, and the deck (!) are what makes this place special."

  • Great family vacation home

"Our family of 11 (6 adults, 5 kids) converged here from OH, VA, and PA for a fabulous week-long vacation. Chatham is a charming town that is easily accessible from this property by car or by bike path. We enjoyed dinners, shopping, ice cream, and running downtown. But we didn't really have to leave this property because our entire family was so perfectly entertained here. The kids played non-stop on the dock and small beach, then took the kayak and canoes out on the calm lake. They were particularly fond of the floating dock which they could swim or row to, and jump off. Giggles and smiles all day. We adults were able to relax on the various decks or in the house while the kids entertained one another. Sunsets on Lover's Lake are gorgeous. This house and property are so unique and charming, the town's original ice house, with its various sitting rooms, beautiful gardens, open kitchen and dining space, plus 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. It's obvious the family who owns this home has spent many wonderful years loving and caring for it, with its antiques, paintings, games and puzzles. And the owner made herself totally accessible to us for any questions, and was interested in making us completely comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped with modern ammenities, and we were offered free wi-fi. If we come back to Cape Cod, we will definitely rent this house again!"

  • Fabulous Falmouth Home

"Our family of 4 arrived from the UK to what is now "our second home" in Cape Cod!. We have children aged 19 and 16. From our early enquiries about the house and area, Chris responded quickly and provided us with a wealth of very helpful information. By the end of our holiday, we felt as though the owners were friends and they were kindly letting us stay in their home! The house is spacious, clean and very comfortable and has more than enough crockery for a very large party. Anything that we needed, Chris was very quick to respond to. Falmouth is a beautiful town with loads going on. Great restaurants and a fab place to just wander. The beach at the end of the road is lovely. We went most days and it was always quiet (lifeguards were always there), with the beach bar providing good snacks. We however took Chris's advice about the wonderful french bakery, and picked up sandwiches from there to take to beach. We would return in a heartbeat and would have no hesitation about staying with Chris and his family again!"

  • Perfect Cape Cod Getaway!

"This house is beautifully and comfortably appointed for everything we needed for an unforgettable Cape Cod vacation with our two young children. We all enjoyed the nicely stocked library with adult and kids books, and puzzles as well as the quiet and serene atmosphere. The kitchen and furnishings were clean, new, and cozy -- especially the couch! It really felt like a home away from home for us. The house is situated in a perfect location on the Cape, less than a five minute drive to the beach, and close to cute shops, restaurants, Stop N Shop, bowling alley, and more. It is centrally located for those who want to tour the rest of the cape by car (only 30 minutes or so to Provincetown -- passing all the great towns in between.) Maggie Fancy was absolutely wonderful as a property owner. Very thoughtful and kind! We will stay in this house again when we come back to the Cape!!"
