  • Great Family Vacation Home

"Our family just returned from 2 beautiful weeks at this home in Orleans. It was everything the owner said in the description online - no surprises. Master suite was awesome, especially for 2 weeks. Prior rental homes have had uncomfortable beds and that is hard to handle, so this was a very comfortable stay. Location is great. It was nice to be able to walk to the ballgames across the street! House is not baby proofed but aside from the one stairway it worked out fine with a 1 year old… The deck looks out onto conservation land as is very nicely landscaped all around. Tons of birds to watch as well. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful in every way. For the first time on VRBO we were very satisfied."

  • Great stay!

"First time at the Cape and we picked a great location. The community is great - small but it's the perfect size for a getaway. The beach is very clean and water warmer than expected. The condo was bigger than expected. It was the perfect size for 2 adults and 2 kids. I don't think more adults would work. It was very clean well maintained. I don't have any complaints besides needing A/C. The first half of the week the humidity was very high and after being at the beach or going for a bike ride it would have been nice to come home to refreshing A/C. We had every window open and fans running but it just didn't seem to cut it. Otherwise we enjoyed our time there. The marketplace was ok. Mashpee commons was better to walk around. It's a great spot to have day trips from. There are plenty of trails for old and young. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend Chris's place."

  • Incredible Home Rest and Recharge

"We returned this year after our first stay at this beautiful home one year ago, because it drew us back, as did the cape itself. I knew when I walked in the door that all my worries and cares were going to dissolve, and they did. This is not your typical vacation rental. It feels more like you've invaded the home of some cousins, or other relatives. Everything is there that you might need, such as kitchen essentials, from dishes, to utensils, pans, and even spices, as well as many books and games. The three most amazing things about this house are its layout, the artwork throughout, and the view of Pamet Harbor. The pictures do not do justice to the view. The harbor, and Cape Cod Bay just beyond, can be seen clearly, especially on a clear day, and best from the upstairs loft. Your eyes will be drawn there like a magnet. Other than the view, the house is surrounded by mature pine trees that wrap around it like a warm hug, and with plenty of sky lights, there is a nature view/feel from every window. The layout of the house must be very feng shui, though I am not an expert, all I know is that it has amazing Flow! And yes, three couples (or 6 people) can enjoy this house without being on top of each other. There is a living room with fireplace, and the upstairs loft (just above it) has the TV with satellite dish. The large kitchen is easy to move around in. We took turns cooking for each other. The master bedroom is spacious and relaxing. The floors are beautiful knotty pine. And last but not least, the artwork on the walls gives the entire house its unique character, most of it done by the owner's mother who was very talented with watercolors; several of the paintings are scenes of places nearby. I will echo someone else too, in saying that the location is very convenient to both Wellfleet and Provincetown, where you can find grocery stores, shops, galleries, and restaurants, in a 15-20 minute drive. And you can walk to Corn Hill Beach in about 10 minutes. The house is nestled in the woods and is very private, you can't see the neighbors, who are quiet, and not far away. I hope we make it back again for a third time!"

  • Loved our stay

"We stayed at this property with our extended family. The house was very comfortable. It has lovely antiques and lots of old books. I enjoyed reading old children's story books that I read as a child to my granddaughter. It is shabby chic with older bathrooms and kitchen, feeling like a cape cod vacation that one experienced as a child. The property was very clean with new sheets and towels and an outside grill. There are many areas to congregate or just to escape for alone time, such as a large screened in porch, good size living room, and outside area with chairs. It's a short walk to the private beach so you can go back and forth to the house easily. This was great with children. A short drive to the lovely town of Osterville with great shops and restaurants and very close to one of the best ice cream places on the cape--4 Seas. Overall a great experience. I would go back."
