Truly A Home Away from Home with Large Heated Inground Pool!
"We are a large group of 3 families with young children. Maggie's cottage is truly a home away from home for us. The cottage was extremely well stocked: apart from the usual that you'd expect to see in a cottage rental, Maggie went out of her way to stock up condiments, plastic bags, paper towels & tissue papers, even shampoos and soaps, you name it! Everything you need in your own home, Maggie got it! The heated pool was a huge hit with the children, we even swam under the stars. One evening we lit up the camp fire in the fire pit, and roasted some marshmallows, our children still talk about that experience even today. The cottage does show some signs of wear, but Maggie’s personal touches throughout the house only add character to it.
The cottage is located in a convenient yet very quiet location: about 2 min away from a large Stop & Shop (grocery) store & the beer/liquor store. The historic Chatham is only 15 minutes away. We also saw the most amazing sunset at the Skaket beach, also just 10-12 min away and recommended by Maggie. During low tide our kids loved looking for clams, hermit crabs and horseshoe crabs there!
The only reason that I gave this cottage a 4 star is difficulty of payment: Maggie only accepts checks, and being a non-American traveler, I had to go to the bank and get a certified US Dollar bank draft to mail it to Maggie. When she returned my security deposit, it was yet another check to deposit: from USD back to CAD. It would be so much easier if Maggie could accept electronic payments. I was also a bit shocked to receive the rental agreement in an actual mail, in this age a PDF file sent as attachment would make much more sense. That being said, those are small annoyances that didn’t hinder our thorough enjoyment of Maggie’s beautiful cottage."

"Our stay at the WindMill was totally delightful. The house is cozy, charming and very comfortable. The kitchen is very cute and user friendly. Waking up in the morning you could look out over Oyster Pond and watch the boats gently bobbing at their moorings. Next, make coffee and take it out to the patio which also has a view of Oyster Pond. After a day of adventures, beachwalking and shopping, curl up with a good book or have a glass of wine on the patio. The WindMill was immaculate, the bathroom was clean and nice to use. We will return some day."

"Although this was, for us, a honeymoon stay, we enjoyed it with wonderful friends. The spaciousness allowed everyone to have the privacy they needed, while still having the fun of sharing a good time with friends. The two houses can clearly handle up to about 10 people (there were eight of us).
The grounds are gorgeous. The owners are professional horticulturalists and the grounds have been laid out beautifully, highlighting the best elements of Cape Cod's flora.
The facilities made our stay comfortable. The location was easy to Provincetown, to downtown Wellfleet, the beaches, and historic places along the cape.
Without hesitation, this will be a place we'll come back to. If you choose to stay here, you won't regret it. A beautiful and memorable time. I know that our pictures will never fully capture the wonder of the place, but my memory will always hold it dear to me."

"Just spent a wonderful week at this home. We had so many things on our to do list before we got there but once we settled in no one wanted to leave. My husband and son-in-law caught stripers right from the lawn. I tried kayaking for the first time. Friends and family slowed down together and swam, barbecued, suntanned, and played cards. It was great family time. Thank you for providing such a well stocked, beautiful home. We found everything we needed and more from all the lobster essentials for a lobster fest to the wagon that my 2.5 year old granddaughter and I used daily. Everyone wants to return next year."
