  • Beautiful,well-equipped charming Home!

"My husband and I recently stayed in this lovely home with our daughter, son-in-law, and 2 grandchildren. The house provided a private master suite, that is very large and a private deck with table and chairs (and umbrella) and a separate area (a queen bedroom and a room with bunk beds) for our next of kin! The porches on the main level have plenty of chairs, a couch and another covered table for eating. The property was in excellent condition and within 5 minute walk to Ridgevale Beach. There were plenty of beach chairs, toys, etc. If you don't know Ridgevale Beach, it has an excellent beach situation for young children. There is a large tide pool that children enjoy and parents can sit between the ocean and the tide pool and enjoy both areas. We would definitely consider this property again for future renting!"

  • Nature & access to the Cape!

"This charming cottage was a perfect place for my family and I to stay during our vacation. Traveling a distance (NY and Washingtion DC) the location of Buzzards Bay at the beginning of the Cape's arm was convenient to get to and also a good base to do day trips to the different beaches, towns and tourist attractions. Starting at the local canal celebrating it's 100 birthday...(CC Ice Cream is a must in town!) to the tip of the Cape...this being our first time in the area, we did it all!...The best was when we got back we could kick back .. so inviting was to just enjoy nature in the backyard. The description is accurate regarding the cottage but the backyard and view were under estimated....relaxing, nature to enjoy. We could have done things differently and just hung around locally. Bob advised us about our kayaks, but the sunsets across the road were a lovely surprise gift.... If I had to be a critic I would say although the kitchen was well equipped...I would have preferred my bigger frying pan for eggs and regular coffee maker..it's just a family thing...lol!.. The cottage was charming, with hints of love, art, and of course nature as well...we had a great time. Thank you Bob... for sharing your home."

  • Enjoying the good times

"Everyday, people coming or going to the beach would ask how we got so lucky to be right in front of the beach. I'd answer «We chose well!». Through homeAway, we found this beautiful home for our vacations. The pictures looked good. The location too. Communications with the owners were perfect. Too bad we never got to meet them in person. Their home is just the perfect vacation spot. We were 6, four adults and two kids, and the three bedrooms made it a perfect stay. Bed were good and the nights pretty quiet. With a view directly on the Nantucket sound, from the front yard or the summer lounge in front, and a cute semi-private beach just in front, where there were never too many people, all was ideal. The beach is really ten steps away. We'd go swim without towels. And the outdoor shower was so useful for washing away salt and sand. Note that the water is quite warm and, somedays, has a bit of alga floating around in it. The house has a good kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, and all that is needed. Plenty of room in the backyard to hold a BBQ feast and play frisbee. There are many attractions nearby, for kids and grown-ups: mini-golf, karting and arcades; shops and beautiful sceneries. And even an excellent seafood restaurant at walking distance. All in all, we had a multi-generation vacation that was exactly what we hoped for and more. Thank you. We will go back!"

  • First visit to the Cape, great location!

"This was our first trip to the Cape, and we had an excellent vacation at Ocean Edge. I cannot say enough about Madeline. She exceeded our expectations regarding her organization, prompt communication, attention to detail, and care of her condo. We found her binder with activity/restaurant recommendations to be very useful and so we didn't waste anytime trying to figure out the best places to eat. The Eaton village condo was spacious for our family of four and very quiet. The beaches were the highlight for us, warm water and no big waves to worry about. Our kids (6 & 8 yrs old) played for hours looking for hermit crabs and catching tiny fish. There were lots of kids of all ages to play with as well. Location is great--easy to drive to other towns on the Cape. Highly recommend! You won't be disappointed."
