  • First visit to the Cape, great location!

"This was our first trip to the Cape, and we had an excellent vacation at Ocean Edge. I cannot say enough about Madeline. She exceeded our expectations regarding her organization, prompt communication, attention to detail, and care of her condo. We found her binder with activity/restaurant recommendations to be very useful and so we didn't waste anytime trying to figure out the best places to eat. The Eaton village condo was spacious for our family of four and very quiet. The beaches were the highlight for us, warm water and no big waves to worry about. Our kids (6 & 8 yrs old) played for hours looking for hermit crabs and catching tiny fish. There were lots of kids of all ages to play with as well. Location is great--easy to drive to other towns on the Cape. Highly recommend! You won't be disappointed."

  • Great Stay and Location!

"My family, self and little dog recently stayed at this charming cottage in a great neighborhood and location. The home was very roomy for a two bedroom with an ample large living area. It had all amenities with the exception of bed sheets and bath/beach towels. It was very clean and had air conditioning, which was a major plus because it was a very warm week. The walk to the beach was only a couple minutes down a private sandy road to the bay. The beach is private with warm water and very clean (went swimming their every day). The location next to restaurants, shopping, etc was superb."

  • Excellent Stay!!

"This house was everything they said it was and then some. The pictures didn't do it justice. The layout was perfect for a family spending time on the beach. The outdoor shower was very private located at ground level inside the basement or garage. Come up the back steps to leave laundry at the laundry room and move on to the bedrooms/bathrooms. The living space is upstairs with a very airy feel and a view of the sea. The kitchen was more than adequate with all the utensils and dishes you would need. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out an relax also. The beach also was such a pleasure! There is a beautiful sand bar that is exposed at low tide. We had a lot of fun looking for sand dollars and making massive sand castles on the sand bar. As the tide came in, it was fascinating for us Illinoisans to watch the tide swallow them up. We also walked down past the public beach to the rocks extending out into the water and did some crabbing. This was also a new experience for my kids. We easily caught fourteen crabs with pieces of chicken sraps and string. We could have caught lots more had we stayed longer, but the kids were ready to get back to the quieter beach near our house. It was still a neat experience for the kids to watch the crabs and then release them back into the water. We took a whale watch out of Barnstable one morning also. It was a short 15-20 min drive and the whales performed beautifully. All in all, a very relaxing and memorable time!! I would recommend this place to anyone and especially families with children."
