  • Fantastic family vacation

"My wife and I can't say enough fantastic things about this property. Sharon was quite accommodating and kept in touch before and during our stay to make sure everything was as to our liking. Our boys, 12 and 14, loved the place. They spent hours beach combing, swimming and generally getting along (for those of you with kids of this age, you know exactly what I'm talking about). Local activities like kayaking on swam river, fishing excursions and being so close to local attractions like the chatham fish pier made this cottage the ultimate place to vacation. Topped with the local cuisine and history of the cape, and the cottage, we would highly recommend this property for families of all ages. We can't say enough great things about Sharon and our new found friend Pablo!"

  • Nature & access to the Cape!

"This charming cottage was a perfect place for my family and I to stay during our vacation. Traveling a distance (NY and Washingtion DC) the location of Buzzards Bay at the beginning of the Cape's arm was convenient to get to and also a good base to do day trips to the different beaches, towns and tourist attractions. Starting at the local canal celebrating it's 100 birthday...(CC Ice Cream is a must in town!) to the tip of the Cape...this being our first time in the area, we did it all!...The best was when we got back we could kick back .. so inviting was to just enjoy nature in the backyard. The description is accurate regarding the cottage but the backyard and view were under estimated....relaxing, nature to enjoy. We could have done things differently and just hung around locally. Bob advised us about our kayaks, but the sunsets across the road were a lovely surprise gift.... If I had to be a critic I would say although the kitchen was well equipped...I would have preferred my bigger frying pan for eggs and regular coffee maker..it's just a family thing...lol!.. The cottage was charming, with hints of love, art, and of course nature as well...we had a great time. Thank you Bob... for sharing your home."

  • Fantastic first visit to the Cape

"This was a family vacation for 12 people and our first time on Cape Cod. Wonderful historic old house with a nice modern kitchen. Plenty of space, fit us all comfortably. Great location - walking distance to the beach and a short drive into town. Would definitely stay there again."

  • Fabulous experience

"We absolutely loved the house and the location! We were delighted with the modern kitchen, great appliances, and the dining room - the family spaces were perfect – and we used the deck a lot. It was amazing to have the grill to use. We had absolutely everything that we needed, and appreciated the details like beach chairs, umbrellas, and the hot/cold outdoor shower. The kitchen was well stocked - we didn’t lack a single thing. The home was clean and felt like a true "New Englander" home. The access to the sea and to the pond were ideal. We made frequent use of the outdoor areas - we clammed on Sunday and found plenty of clams to make a beautiful clam stew. We also found and ate oysters. There was a lot of wildlife in the pond. When kayaking right behind the house, we saw egrets, swans, ducks, geese, and an osprey nest complete with a family. We loved that the sea was warm there, as opposed to the surfing beaches. Even through there were people all along the beaches, it wasn’t very busy in the stretch of accessible beach. The home and the surrounding property felt very private and we loved getting away from the crowds there while the rest of Cape Cod felt very busy. The owner and leasing agent were prompt and helpful with my questions. I highly recommend this house!"
