A wonderful cottage
"My wife and I had never visited Cape Cod, and are so happy and fortunate to have found this cottage on our first trip here. The cottage is located in a very quite and secluded area that we found very pleasing, but it is centrally located on the Cape to all of the attractions that we visited during the week of our visit, and is very close to all that Orleans has to offer. We especially like the Orleans area for it's small town feel and friendliness. The cottage has everything in the way of amenities that we could have expected, wanted, or needed. It is well maintained, clean, and a very relaxing place to be. Our host, Molly, was warm and gracious was very helpful in recommending local places to visit. This is a place that would be easy to return to and we hope to do just that. I highly recommend this to any couple that wants to visit the Cape."

"Our family of four plus a rotating assortment of friends and other family, LOVED staying at this house, it was perfect in every way. The main house itself was so charming and accommodating and the guesthouse was absolutely lovely for our guests. We also played tennis every day - a true treat! We fell in love with Crystal Lake, so great for kids and SO CLOSE.
It's centrally located in Orleans, only a few minutes from Nauset and Skaket Beaches. Pilgrim Lake is also a great place to take little kids, it has a small beach and a great swimming area. We took full advantage of the Cape Bike Trail, nightly trips to Sundae School and saw a children's play at the local theatre. We love this area so much because there is never a shortage of things to do when you're all beached-out.
We are already looking forward to another stay next summer!"

"This home was perfect for our active family of 5 plus our golden retriever. It was clean and nicely furnished but not so dear that we had to worry about the dog or kids. Grocery stores nearby made it just like home. From the house you can walk to Rock harbor and the little wharf and beach there. Local people said they allow dogs there after 4pm so we went with that. Because of the hurricane, fireworks were delayed so we hot to see those our week as well. Skaket and Nauset are short drives, a bike trail with rental shops is also very near in the town. The kids keep asking if we can go back so it was a hit. Miriam and Lou have a TV, DVD, VCR and there is WiFi. There are board games in a cabinet. The backyard is big and perfect for throwing ball around while something is grilling up. The house is one level there are 2 low wooden steps to get in. So if mobility is an issue for you or a pet, don't worry! I was looking for a low key seaside vacation with the kids, like I had growing up visiting my grandma on Long Island. This was very much like that. Hope to get a week again next year!"

"This was our second stay at Bernie's. It is well maintained, and completely equipped.
Location is great: quiet, near beach, fish market and supermarket. Sunsets over the bay are beautiful, just a short distance away. I hope we can stay there again."
