Great place to stay!
"My husband and I brought our son and my in-laws here in early June. We instantly fell in love. The owner was very well organized with providing us with the cottage information in advance. The place was neat and clean with a very nice open floor concept. Perfect for 6 people. The cottage is on the bayside so the water is very calm which was perfect for our son to run around and play, especially when the tide is low. The beach was quiet and relaxing, and the water so clear and blue! I was pleasantly surprised to find out the convenience of our location. We were about an hour from Providence which was a very neat town to visit, and 30 minutes from the drive in movie theatre. Boston is a little over an hour away so we visited the aquarium one afternoon. The ferry was also near which allowed us to do a day trip in Martha's Vineyard. We had one rain day, and for anyone who has a toddler you know that you must keep them occupied. Fortunately, we were about 15 minutes from the Children's Museum in Mashpee, and found 2 playgrounds along the way. This place is our new sanctuary. Highly recommend!"

"Great space for a family get together. Bedrooms, baths and common spaces very spacious and comfortably furnished. Although we had very nice weather and were able to enjoy being outside, the layout of the house would work well in inclement weather just as well. A great location for enjoying walks on the beach or the street. Two decks means that one is almost always getting some sun or shade. The large deck off the back of the house has seating for at least 30 - amazing, the kitchen was spacious and well laid out and was the most well equipped of any house I've ever rented.
Easy access from the parking to the house (just one step up) and a master with ex suite bathroom (with walk-in shower) downstairs would make this an ideal house for anyone with limited mobility. In addition, one can enjoy the beach from the back deck.
The house was very clean and well maintained and the owner was very responsive to any questions/issues. It was redecorated in 2014, so is even nicer than the pictures.
We would definitely recommend this property.
We ate all our meals in, so can't recommend restaurants. We did hire Clambakes Etc to do a clambake for our group and they did a terrific job - would definitely recommend them.
Activities - can recommend the Shining Sea Bikeway that runs from Falmouth to Woods Hole and Corner cycle in Falmouth for bike rentals. Also recommend Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich - even on a rainy day."

"This house suited our family perfectly. My husband and I spent a week there with our three adult children and their spouses. It had something for everyone. The pond, which was really lake, was great. We took a raft and anchored it off the dock. The water was warm enough for swimming, there were plenty of fish to keep my son happy, and the kayak and canoe offered plenty of boating. The house was spacious enough for all of us to enjoy dinner in the dining room and games in the living room. We were able to bring our dogs, and even though dogs are permitted, the house is clean. The house is close to all types of shopping. There is a new lifestyle mall in Mashpee, a Stop and Shop close by, and an ice cream parlor just up the road. We had no problem finding fine dining in the area. The beaches were beautiful, but we all look forward to getting back to the house. Even though it's close to all needed facilities, it is quiet and removed from the hubbub. I would really enjoy going back to this place next year."

"The uniqueness of having the ocean on one side and Scorton Creek on the other makes this property incredibly special. The cottage itself is in great condition and maintained very well. It is Cape Cod in and out. The owner, Arlene, took the time to point out the excellent restaurants in Sandwich and nearby areas and also connected us with a local kayak store who dropped off our rental kayaks ahead of time at the cottage. She went out of her way throughout our dealings to ensure our stay was a priority. So for us, it was arrive and our vacation started. Did I forget to mention that Scorton Creek is perfect for kayaking and it's tidal flow and geography create some excellent fishing in the creek and just outside it's mouth. We had an awesome time and have lasting memories from our stay. Thank you for sharing your special place with us Arlene."
