  • If you like the beach ...

"You will love Friendship House. Just a few minutes from Nauset, I spent my whole week relaxing in the sun. After sundown I enjoyed the local restaurants. David is a wonderful host - helpful and hospitable. The house is very comfortable and I felt right at home. Plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy peace and quiet of the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend the Friendship House."

  • A great week on the Cape

"We spent a wonderful week on the Cape and enjoyed the Starfish Cottage as a perfect base camp. The floor plan worked well with two couples and we could have had two additional people. There were beach chairs available, and its an easy walk to Red River beach."

  • West Coast Family enjoyed East Coast Proviencetown home for the holidays.

"Thanksgiving week in this beautiful historic home made us appreciate our history. The house was comfortable and welcoming all of our needs were met beyond expectations. The house was well stocked with linens and kitchen items. The location was perfect for going to the main street for shopping and resturants. Thanksgiving morning we all ran in the annual turkey trot that went along the waters edge. The bikes took us on the amazing bike trails. The month of November was a great time to visit. Beauty and comfort all in one. We look forward to another visit soon. It was a Peaceful and Playfun family vacation. Thank you for being so generous with your home. West Coast family."

  • Such a nice first visit to Cape Cod

"This was our first experience with VRBO, so that alone was 5 stars, because the filters enabled us to find just the right place for our needs. Miriam and Lou were very accessible and great answering any and all questions via email and phone before our trip and even during, as we had one question about recycling removal. This was our first trip to Cape Cod, so some of my review may stray toward that, but I will try to stick to the property. This home is about 5 houses up from Rock Harbor, which is a small picturesque harbor where people in Orleans can go to catch charter fishing boats in the morning, and watch the sun set, as its very beautiful. The harbor has a fish market and Capt Cass restaurant, a little local greasy spoon type place. Rock Harbor itself has a tiny little beach (no lifeguard) where you can swim, and even bring your dog- we were told after 4pm dogs are allowed, so we went with that. This little beach is free, it is on the Skaket beach side of Orleans, so similarly, when the tide is out, you can walk for miles in and out of tidal pools. We saw an oyster farm when the tide was out, and got to speak with the farmer. He let our boys help him pick out the dead oysters "and put them in the oyster graveyard" The kids had endless fun seeing what sea critters were in the all the tidal pools. Nauset beach is about 15 min drive with more waves for boogie boarders and bigger kids, daredevils. This house is a short car ride, or bike ride from the middle of town, where there are little shops and cafes, and there is a nice paved bike trail with 2 bike rental shops. The house was perfect for our family because while it was very clean, and nicely decorated, it was not so dear that I was afraid the kids or dog would harm anything. Every gadget you might need to cook or entertain is there, there is a charcoal grill, all the items you might need for the beach are in the garage. Backyard is big enough for a game of catch while dinner is being made. Deck is a nice place to see the corner of that Rock Harbor sunset. The TV was great for the kids in the morning and evening, and having laundry available made it nice when we got back (no mountain to do). My grandmother had a beach house growing up, and I had hoped for that type of getaway, and this was just right. Thanks so much, Miriam and Lou."
