  • A perfect family vacation

"We had another amazing time at this house. We were four families living in the house and it did not feel crowded. Everyone had space to do what they wanted to do - read, play board games, talk, watch tv. And all six adults had a spacious kind size bed to sleep in while our 6 children (from three different families) slept in the two bunk bed rooms based on gender. The large kitchen gave us plenty of room to cook large family style meals every night that we often ate on the deck overlooking the yard and water. We also ate inside in the large dining room and kitchen. Again, the house easily accommodated us. The house is on a cove that provides a fun playground for kids of all ages. We kayaked, swam, sailed, and enjoyed all sorts of water activities. We also enjoyed the very close by West Dennis Beach and sometimes drove to other Cape Beaches. This is the third time we have been to the house and we look forward to coming back next year!"

  • Wonderful first family vacation!

"The cozy cape cottage was the perfect place for our first vacation as a family with our 2 month old son and dog! We loved grilling out every night and the great outdoor space - yard and hammock. We took daily walks to the nearby bog / preserve and Bank Street beach. Harwich Port was a great home base for exploring towns all over the cape. We did whale watching out of Hyannis and managed to eat lobster every day of our trip! Nicole was so responsive and helpful before and during our visit. We did have to use the space heaters, but hear a new heating system is being installed in the house which is great. The only small issue we had was supplies mentioned in the book weren't at the house, eg dish soap, toiletries, charcoal and batteries were missing from the smoke and co2 alarms and they were taken down (safety was first for us, traveling with a newborn!) so we had to replace all of that. All in all the cottage provided a wonderful place for our week at the Cape and remembering this special time with our new son! We would love to come back!!"

  • Perfect vacation

"We had a wonderful time at the house. Location is great - 0.8 miles from the beach so driving is easier - and the house is perfect. The downstairs has a very large and open living/dining area with kitchen, along with one bedroom with two twin beds, a bathroom and a mudroom. The upstairs has the master bed that shares a bathroom with the other bedroom with two bunk beds. The house was perfect for our family of four (including an infant who wakes up frequently at night) but can easily accommodate many more (better behaved :) visitors). Andrea was incredibly responsive and helpful with every question. She even provided us with a toddler bed and a pack and play, which helped tremendously with our young kids. All in all, a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this house for everyone, but especially with young children since it is so well equipped (stepping stool, toddler bed, etc.). Many thanks Andrea. We had a great time. Oh, and like other reviewers, I agree that the pictures don't do the house justice. It looks better than in the pictures."

  • Relaxing family vacation spot

"The antique cottage in Chatham is the perfect house for a relaxing family vacation. We visited early fall when the leaves were changing, and we had a wonderful time. The house is very comfortable- we felt as if we were right at home the minute we walked in the door. The rooms have plenty of antique charm but are updated and well taken care of and equipped with all of your needs such as: a dishwasher, washer and dryer in the kitchen, two TVs with cable, Wi-Fi, etc...There is plenty of space to spread out. My wife and I stayed with our newborn and we had both sets of our parents come and stay with us throughout the week. We were all very comfortable- there are two dining spaces- one in the kitchen and one dining area making it easy to relax and have family dinners. The sun porch is cozy and a nice place to relax. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach which wasn't crowded. We found some affordable, delicious restaurants in the area and the supermarket in town was great and had all of the needs for our growing newborn. We wish the weather was better so we could enjoy the fire pit outback- looks like fun! All in all, the stay was very enjoyable and comfortable for the entire family. We would love to return. We highly recommend this house as a relaxing getaway for your family vacation."
