Wow! The perfect Cape Cod location...
"The trip up the Cape to Wellfleet, then off the beaten path as directed where we were thrilled to arrive at this lovely home! Immaculate, wonderfully appointed, you won't need a thing, and everything it is described to be and more! The location, the house and the grounds offer every opportunity for lovely private woodsy views and relaxation any time of day or night.
Then with easy proximity to great local restaurants and to fishing wherever you'd like - bay or ocean, the touring by foot and car, the beach hopping and so much more. We were afforded a perfect Cape Cod holiday, on the National Cape Cod Seashore, in a fabulous home. Yes, wow! We can't wait to go back!"

"This house went far beyond my expectations for a relaxing and fun vacation. Central to so many great beaches and food choices, we really loved our week here. The house itself is beautiful and spacious, with lots of living spaces to relax in. The two porches were our favorite, giving us lots of time outside to enjoy the sun into the evening hours. The backyard was nice and big to allow lots of games and the outdoor shower was perfect when coming home from the beach. The trees around the house gave a sense of seclusion and made the house feel more private. Well maintained and immaculately kept, this house is great for anyone looking to get away to the cape."

"Five stars for three categories.
SITE. Tne VRNO photo doesn't do justice to this house and setting. It's what was called a Greek Revival when it was built, probably about 1830, the last house on Old Pier Road. That means it is quiet, a two-minute walk to the cove beach, which feels like a private beach and yet is onlhy a couple of miles from Wellfleet Center. Our dog loved wandering through the tall stands of beach grass along the tidal flats.
HOUSE. The house is remarkably equipped. Paper punch? Check. Scrabble? Check. First
Aid kit? Check. LED bulbs? Check. We couldn't think of a thing that isn't supplied. That's also true for virtual things: wifi worked perfectly (except during a brief, dramatic storm) and so did premium cable on big screen TV in the LR. And Nick Nicholson, the landlord, went out of his way to reassure us about the storm -- and about any other questions.
LOCATION. Wellfleet is large enough to include almost any necessary facility, including a pharmacy and a vet. We liked playing tourist on the shopping streets there -- and were pleased to do more of that on the short, beautiful drive to Provincetown.
There were two of us for most of the week but two children and their two boys came for a couple of nights, comfortable in two addtional bedrooms. They want to come back. So do we.

"I want to thank Carol and Joe for a wonderful week in Wellfleet. Their house was just right for us. It had plenty of space for two couples (parents and a set of married children) with private bedrooms, baths, and sitting areas for each of us and a great gathering space in the dining room and sunspace that looked out onto lovely shade trees and the salt marsh. It was warm but not too hot while we were there and we were grateful that the sunspace was sunny in the morning and shaded in the afternoon and evening. Opening the windows let the breezes blow through too. It was extra fun in the few rain showers to sit in the sunspace and watch the water pour off. The house is very nicely decorated and we couldn't believe how well equipped the kitchen was. It had every kind of dish, bowl, pan and accessory you could ever want. The house is very private but, on a sad note, you can hear the Highway 6 traffic across the salt marsh if you keep the bedroom windows open at night. I'm sensitive to noise but actually it didn't bother me at all. The location was convenient to everything from Orleans to Ptown. It was funny to us that the tradition in that part of the country is that owners don't provide linens and also apparently you can't leave food behind. It's always nice to find a supply of stuff like ketchup and mayo in the fridge. But those were small inconveniences compared to all the other amenities. So, we highly recommend this house."
