  • Why we keep coming back

"Of all the places on the Cape, Wellfleet is the most special. And of all the special places in Wellfleet, this house on Great Pond has become our most treasured. While the house itself is a striking bit of architecture with all the amenities you need, it is also in keeping with its rustic setting. The experience is all about nature and being on the pond. Where else can you step off your deck and take a midnight paddle under a full moon? If you have kids, you can watch them swim out to the dock while preparing dinner in the kitchen. If it's the beach you're after, it's just a mile away. If you want to head to town, you can get there in minutes without having to negotiate Rte. 6. This is the perfect house with responsive, attentive hosts."

  • Unique and beautifully appointed

"Over the years my family has rented numerous summer homes in Wellfleet. For five years, we owned one. This house rates as a favorite experience. The house is unique, modern, clean, and extremely well-appointed. The two patios, one with a table that would seat eight easily and the other in a sunny spot with comfortable lounge chairs, look down a wooded hillside. I saw hummingbirds, an owl (a real one, not the ones placed to discourage predators), and many songbirds. The perennial gardens are beautiful. The owners have furnished and decorated the house tastefully and eclectically. While everything you need is there, everything you don't need is not (for example, the medicine cabinets, bureau drawers, and bedroom closets are empty and ready for your stuff). It is extremely private and yet conveniently located because you can get to Wellfleet town and harbor on quiet back roads without getting on Route 6. Part of the house's charm is the unique architecture. The concrete floors are cool and clean. Natural light and cooling breezes come through the skylights in nearly every room. This means that if you are light sensitive you will wake with the morning light. My guess is that some people will love this and some people will not. We very much enjoyed our stay!"

  • Mom and Daughter July 4th Cape Get Away

"I don't normally write reviews and it took me a while to get to it, but I wanted to give a recommendation for The Bradford. The condo has such great character and was well equipped, it immediately felt like home. Location is amazing with easy access to the beach, local restaurants and shops, Wellfleet center, Wellfleet harbor, etc. This was my first time using VRBO for a last minute trip and the experience was positive, the owners of this property were honest and easy to work with and the whole process was remarkably stress free. This property will be at the top of my list for the next time I make it out to the Cape!"

  • Wonderful vacation home!

"We were delighted with so many things - the view of the harbor and sunsets, the close proximity to activities (Wellfleet, beaches, bike path, great walks), the clean and beautiful home, the well equipped kitchen, the walk into town, 2 decks, and the helpfulness of the owner. It was a very special week - thanks Mary and Kurt."
