  • Too short a stay in 2 BR & 3 BR Victorian home

"We were a 3 generation family heading south from a week in Maine, wanting to spend one last night together on our way back to our homes hundreds of miles apart. The two homes (much more than apts) are beautifully restored with lots of special details: beautiful dishes, stunning wooden bookshelves, beautiful and comfortable beds. Kitchens in both houses are large and the smaller apt has a great deck. That house also has a huge jacuzzi that our granddaughters were positively ecstatic to be bathing in -- with lots in the tub along with the water jets. Marion was gracious in showing our granddaughter her greenhouse and the vegetables that were nearly ripe. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with lots of flowers blooming, with sparkling lights at night. Marion was responsive in answering questions, and has offered to mail me an item I inadvertently left behind. We ate a so-so brunch at Sandee's nearby -- had delicious take-out from a nearby Thai restaurant. We felt like we'd stepped back into the 1890s-early 1900s - with all of the modern conveniences. Just a delightful all too short stay."

  • Lakehouse-Peni

"This rental was the first for the entire family together and it was amazing! Accommodations were perfect and offered a truly rejuvenating experience for all ages! We are kayakers and brought (5) with us along with the canoe provided- was perfect. Setting was ideal and offered much to each of us. It was the first time I had ever seen my son-in-law truly relax and gave the youngest member (age 3) many "first" experiences. Luci the manager was thorough, professional and friendly! Can't thank them all enough!!"

  • Winter Getaway

"What a great place for a winter getaway with kids. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the frozen lake. We also had easy access to Nashoba Valley for tubing and Wachusett Mountain for skiing. We ate breakfast and dinner in the house almost every day because of the nice kitchen. This house is great for families! Very cozy!"
