"A charming apartment, I originally thought it a long way from amenities, but soon realised it was not. So much character in the building, the floorboards scars tell a story. Terry was approachable and helped with everything. If we ever come back, would love to stay here again."

  • Great place!

"The place was just as expected; very rustic and comfortable. It had everything you needed for our stay. The kitchen was nice and fully supplied to make any meal. The owner also did a great job with the interior design; we did not want to leave the place. The neighborhood was great, and in close proximity to many things. Public transportation was very close, and if you have a car, you can easily find parking during the weekend. I met the owner when i first arrived, and she was very pleasant. I was a little late, and she was very understanding. I would recommend this place to anyone planning to stay in Boston."

  • Nice, convenient location for Boston sight seeing

"We enjoyed a long weekend in Boston, traveling with our 2 teenagers. The accommodations were more than adequate for our needs. The futon and beds were comfy, bedding and towels were nice. The kitchen supplied things we needed. The WiFi was fast and reliable. The shower was a bit quirky (we are all over 5'8") and had to bend our heads a bit so as to not hit our heads on the wall that slanted down. Our visit coincided with a heat wave (we live in the south and are used to heat and humidity) and found that the living area/kitchen didn't really cool that well. A fan would have been nice but we were fine. Our communication with the owner was fantastic. She was quite helpful in providing information to us. Just wish we could have met her! Perhaps another visit. The location was really great for getting to the subway, walking to stores, restaurants, etc. We would definitely stay again."

  • More than we expected!

"We stayed here for a full week with our almost 11 year old grandson and we all enjoyed this house on the Freedom Trail. Any other lodging in Boston might have meant that we would need a car but this house is located within walking distance of (almost) everything we intended to visit. I think we used the transit system just once. The house itself seemed so spacious, which sounds odd I know. Loved all the counter space and storage in both the kitchen and the laundry area. Owners met all needs, which is a first in all the times I've rented vacation homes on VRO. If you are in good health, no matter your age, I highly recommend this rental. And if you're a walker you will appreciate the ability to visit everything from Bunker Hill to the Tea Party ship on foot. If you have a problem with stairs, especially narrow spiral staircases then the master bedroom might be difficult for you. I was worried about coming down those stairs at night to use the bathroom so decided to cut off my fluid intake about 6 PM so I wouldn't need the bathroom at night. That worked for me! Never met or spoke to the person who is the property manager so can't speak of her personally but the property was clean and well stocked and more than we expected!"
