"My family and I were warmly greeted by Donna, Max and Millie on our arrival to Boston the day before St. Patrick's Day in South Boston. The apartment was warm and cozy and we could not want for anything. Location to public transportation, shopping and restaurants was very convenient. We loved the character and charm of the home, apartment and the neighborhood. Forget cramped and pricey hotels, this is the way to go when visiting Boston!"

Perfect location for a ramble around Boston by subway!
"The Fort Hill Inn was the perfect home base for rocketing around Boston for two chilly January days! It was cozy and picturesque. The room we had with double bed and private bath was not at all too small. The tub was deep and claw footed (as well as a shower). There was a microwave and mini fridge as well as coffee and tea making supplies. Every thing was clean and well stocked. The personal touches made it feel like we were staying at a friend's house. Just the opposite of a boring blah hotel room! Climbing the very steep staircase felt like climbing into a piece of history. It is close to the subway and restaurants within walking distance. Might be a bit of a walk for some, but we loved getting a feel for the neighborhood on foot. There didn't seem to be a grocery type store close at hand, just a convenience store (which didn't sell beer or wine) wasn't a big issue for us and we didn't ask Terry but he may have known of one. All in all it was just a lovely place to stay. Thanks Terry!"

"The place was just as expected; very rustic and comfortable. It had everything you needed for our stay. The kitchen was nice and fully supplied to make any meal. The owner also did a great job with the interior design; we did not want to leave the place. The neighborhood was great, and in close proximity to many things. Public transportation was very close, and if you have a car, you can easily find parking during the weekend. I met the owner when i first arrived, and she was very pleasant. I was a little late, and she was very understanding. I would recommend this place to anyone planning to stay in Boston."

Large house, big dining room table, secluded upscale location, very nice owners
"We had 12-15 people and it was nice to have everyone together. The house is in pretty good condition on the inside, looks like it could use some touching up on the exterior, but that didn't bother us.
I met both of the owners (husband and wife) and they were very helpful for anything we asked. I would stay here again.
The main floor has 3 bedrooms: 1) two queen beds, 2) two queen beds, 3) one queen bed. The 'basement' has 2 bedrooms: 4) one full size and one twin bed, 5) one queen bed - semi private as it has louvered doors on one side. I think we had 2 rollabeds. All 3 main floor bedrooms had sliding glass doors that open to the dining room - odd for a house, but this was or can be used for meetings. It wasn't a problem.
Plenty of parking next to the house. The deck was pretty large and nice to watch the ocean and stuff. Plenty of seating for casual hanging out. All of the furnishings were pretty good - none was unacceptable."
