"We stayed for four nights at this charming apartment... Where to begin?!! :)
Located just behind the historic Massachusetts State House, this apartment is a short walk away from the T Subway, Mass General Hospital, the Boston Common, the stores/restaurants/cafes of Beacon Hill, the Theatre District and Back Bay.
A 10-20 minute walk will get you to the historic North End, Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market, and the waterfront (Boston Harbor Cruises and the New England Aquarium).
You simply couldn't ask for a more central location! The gas-lit streets of Beacon Hill are just charming to walk around.
As this apartment is (naturally) self-catering, there are literally tons of places to eat nearby (want some good pizza? Try Cafe Podima at 168 Cambridge Street) and there's also a handy Whole Foods not that far away (the Charles River Plaza Shopping Center, also on Cambridge Street).
Now on to the apartment!
You walk in and literally, it takes your breath away. It is packed with historic charm!
It is lovingly decorated, with an *amazing* fireplace and period furnishings. We challenge you to count all the birds dotted about the place! :)
It is clean, quiet, comfortable and everything you could need from a Beacon Hill retreat. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher... everything. The bed is located up in a little nook off the main living area - so cosy and comfortable!
The owner supplies fresh linens, towels, reading material & local guides, DVDs (for those rainy evenings in!)... and there's also laundry facilities in the building.
All in all, we literally can't pick out any fault with this place!
Robin, the owner, was also amazing throughout - she kept in touch and we could reach her whenever we needed to. We'd like to thank her again and can't wait to come back!"
