"The key in real estate/travel is Location Location Location! The location could not be more ideal - and adding the free parking in the garage made it heavenly. The personal service provided by V went beyond the call of duty - fresh fruit, breakfast assortments, bottled water, etc were a welcome amenity especially when arriving late. Personal greetings from V when he provided the keys (two sets as requested) and orientation on the retail stores in the neighborhood were indispensable. Although there were no daily housekeeping services, there were plenty of towels in the linen closet for daily changes. Further when we accidentally left a phone charger after our departure, V fed expressed it to us. His service was the intangible value to the tangible value of the rental."

  • Fabulous Stay and Beats Any Hotel

"Been to Boston numerous times but Kevin's place is by far the best we've ever stayed. The location is perfect - walking distance to great restaurants and shopping, and if you're a runner or a biker, it's minutes to run/bike over to the Charles River where you can run or bike for hours. We've traveled all over the world and stayed at a lot of different types of accommodations - hotels, boats, houses, tree tops, etc. - and Kevin's place is high on our list. One of the great things that everyone expects but doesn't get all the time - everything works at this apartment. The wi-fi works, the tv works, the a/c works, the locks, the showers, everything. The scenario of flying in to an unknown house only to find that the bathroom light doesn't work at 2:00 am will NOT happen here. And of course the pictures show how beautifully appointed the apartment is. I already told Kevin we're back next year!"

  • Perfect apartment, perfect location

"This is an excellent apartment in an absolutely perfect location. My family of four came to Boston when I ran the marathon. This apartment was a five minute walk to the expo and maybe fifteen minute walk to the finish line. My family was able to easily walk to the Mile 25 marker to see me. Marathon aside, the apartment is spacious enough for two adults and two small children. The kids shared the pull-out couch in the living room. There's a Trader Joe's within a 5-10 minute walk, as well as a corner market. It's a short walk to the many shops and restaurants and cafes on Newbury and Boylston Streets, as well as the Green Line for the train. The Charles River is one block away, with gorgeous views and a long running/walking trail. There's a huge playground within walking distance on this path as well. The owners of the apartment have a huge list of local restaurants and helpful tips. The bedroom, and apartment itself, can be a little noisy. The building, while gorgeous, is older and has multiple residences. The normal sounds of people coming and going, as well as the alleyway behind the apartment, can be heard. Everything you might need for easy meals is in the apartment, with the exception of a toaster! We visited the Children's Museum, the Aquarium, the Science Museum and did a Duck Boat Tour, all within a short train or cab ride. We highly recommend this property!"

  • Longwood Studio 15

"Stayed for 3 nights from Oct. 9 - Oct 11th. Great location for me as my son lives in Allston and it was an easy train ride. T-line very easy 5-8 minute walk. One think I'd advise. The apartment complex is a bit isolated if you don't know where you are going (sorry even with directions I may have gotten lost). However, if your home computer has Google Earth (and if not a library will have it), just look up the address. It gives a fantastic bird's eye or street level view of the entire area. I arrived late at night and had no problem finding the place as I had already "seen" the area on Google Earth and knew exactly where to go. It does help to Google Fenway T-Station first (if you come on the train) to see where you will stop. The apartment was clean but nothing fancy - no probs there. It was good enough weather that I needed neither the heater or air conditioning, so can't say how they work. I would consider the same place again if that helps."
