  • Nice, convenient location for Boston sight seeing

"We enjoyed a long weekend in Boston, traveling with our 2 teenagers. The accommodations were more than adequate for our needs. The futon and beds were comfy, bedding and towels were nice. The kitchen supplied things we needed. The WiFi was fast and reliable. The shower was a bit quirky (we are all over 5'8") and had to bend our heads a bit so as to not hit our heads on the wall that slanted down. Our visit coincided with a heat wave (we live in the south and are used to heat and humidity) and found that the living area/kitchen didn't really cool that well. A fan would have been nice but we were fine. Our communication with the owner was fantastic. She was quite helpful in providing information to us. Just wish we could have met her! Perhaps another visit. The location was really great for getting to the subway, walking to stores, restaurants, etc. We would definitely stay again."

  • Beautiful and Spacious Apartment!

"This apartment was lovely, and the owner was extremely accommodating. The pictures do not do it justice, as the ceilings are very high which makes the space seem even larger than it is. I comfortably stayed here with six friends. We made good use of the kitchen and the beds, including the sofa bed, were very cozy. The location of the apartment was fantastic- we were within walking distance of great sites, shops, and restaurants. Additionally, the parking garage was less than a ten minute walk away which we found convenient. Would absolutely recommend this apartment, and would stay again when traveling with a group in the future!"

  • Just Right!

"I have stayed at many rental by owner homes. This one is one of the best. The value is unbeatable. The bed is very comfortable. Linens were good quality and fresh. The eat-in kitchen is a plus. The "light" room was a bonus especially when we needed some solo time. Lisa was very responsive to our calls and helpful in getting settled then out and about."

  • Longwood Studio 15

"Stayed for 3 nights from Oct. 9 - Oct 11th. Great location for me as my son lives in Allston and it was an easy train ride. T-line very easy 5-8 minute walk. One think I'd advise. The apartment complex is a bit isolated if you don't know where you are going (sorry even with directions I may have gotten lost). However, if your home computer has Google Earth (and if not a library will have it), just look up the address. It gives a fantastic bird's eye or street level view of the entire area. I arrived late at night and had no problem finding the place as I had already "seen" the area on Google Earth and knew exactly where to go. It does help to Google Fenway T-Station first (if you come on the train) to see where you will stop. The apartment was clean but nothing fancy - no probs there. It was good enough weather that I needed neither the heater or air conditioning, so can't say how they work. I would consider the same place again if that helps."

From the airport, you can take a shuttle bus which will connect you with Boston's subway. From there, you can get to just about anywhere in the city. There is also a water shuttle that runs between Logan airport and Rowe's Wharf on Atlantic Avenue in Boston. Taxis and limousines offer private transfers to any point within the city. Many of the rentals allow for shorter stays so if you can only stay for a limited amount of time, you can still benefit from the more affordable rates. Other benefits include being able to be closer to the major sites without having to break the bank and having a greater degree of flexibility in terms of coming and going and meal times. Most likely, you'll be out all day sightseeing and coming back to a spacious apartment or houseboat is far more enjoyable than being confined to a single room or having to share a lounge with hundreds of other hotel guests.
