  • Perfect get away for family and friends!

"We look forward to our yearly escape from the city to what we consider our home away from home. Fine location with everything you would imagine a beach house to have. Cozy bedrooms, living room, dining room, and kitchen; huge porch that I sometimes spend my whole day on-enjoying my morning coffee and listening to the birds. reading my Nook, and then wine at night. I feel so relaxed here that I don't want to leave and go into town unless it is raining and too damp to sit on the porch. We love being here and look forward to our yearly stay. My husband didn't think he would like an outdoor shower, but he misses that the most."

  • Getaway to M V

"My husband and I just had the best time in this house. It has a superb location, a cycle ride to Edgar town , where we had cocktails in two bars. Dinners in two five star restaurant s with excellent food. A cycle to south beach. And back to an extremely comfortable, spotless and efficient house."

  • Fabulous Home on Martha's Vineyard

"Just back from a wonderful week on Martha's Vineyard and I can honestly say that the house was a significant part of the experience. We kept congratulating ourselves that we couldn't have had a better house. The weather was only okay, but with the huge front porch we didn't care. We had all of our meals on the porch and enjoyed playing games, watching the ferries and boats come and go and just hanging out. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped and the owner has an interesting and ecclectic collection on books. The beach is directly across the street. We loved it!"

  • Great Space

"Extremely well appointed guest home, especially in comparison to other rental properties. Very well maintained and clean property. We have stayed here many times and have enjoyed the space each time. Walking distance to harbor, Circuit Ave, Our Market, and East Chop. I've even walked to the Art District shops and Tony's Market. Two private parking spaces if you do bring a car."

Edgartown Travel Tips

Plan Your Martha’s Vineyard Vacation in Edgartown Lodging

When it’s time to relax and get away from the normal tourist crowds during your trip to New England, Edgartown lodging offers unique opportunities to explore the coast of Massachusetts. Known for catering to the rich and famous on their vacations as well, Edgartown was the first settlement in the area of Martha’s Vineyard, and several specimens from the early 19th century have remained for all to appreciate.

Choose Edgartown Lodging for a Unique Look into History

Many of the Edgartown rentals are actually former homes of whaling captains who built the impressive houses in the early 19th century. You’ll be impressed at the quality of the craftsmanship and maintained grounds that make Martha’s Vineyard rentals seem like part of a museum exhibit from the past.

Visit Historical Homes near Edgartown Rentals

Other than the homes used for Edgartown lodging and private residences, there are a few that demand a special visit during your stay. The Vincent House is the oldest home on the island, and currently serves as a museum. Take a walk from your Edgartown rentals to see another collection of historical artifacts at the Thomas Cooke House.

In 1760, Benjamin Smith built a Greek revival home on South Summer Street that attracts visitors from Martha’s Vineyard rentals on a daily basis. It now serves as an office for the local paper, the Vineyard Gazette.

Enjoy the Local Beaches While Staying in Martha’s Vineyard Rentals

If you’re lucky enough to find Edgartown lodging on the beach, you may have access to your own private stretch of sand during your vacation. If not, several public access beaches are available for your use. Even in colder weather, the view from Norton’s Point, also known as South Beach, is a wonderful way to see the sand dunes of the area surrounding Edgartown rentals. Lighthouse Beach is another popular area among visitors to Martha’s Vineyard rentals where they can simply nap in the sun, take a ride along the bike paths, or swim in the ocean in warmer months.
