2014 vacation review
"I’ve just booked my 2015 vacation and thought I should give a review of my 2014 vacation.
My group of 8 had plenty of space to lounge about during our stay since the large open living space allowed everyone to be together but not on top of one another. I loved the large upstairs master bedroom with its own private deck, which was wonderful for morning coffee or an afternoon read. The other bedrooms are wonderful too, everyone was very comfortable.
This house is perfect for entertaining large groups, we had 16 people for dinner one night and we had plenty of room. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything a cook might need and we used the grill every day and when we ran out of propane there were 2 other full tanks there and the change out was easy.
The 5 minute drive to Katama/South Beach was very convenient since we went there every day with a quick trip to Edgartown for to go lunch from Humphries. Found our spot on the beach and relaxed for a few hours before heading back to the house, and the awesome outdoor shower, before going to Nancy’s for afternoon cocktails.
I like to be near the night life but not on top of it and that is another reason I like this house, we are close to both Edgartown and Oak Bluffs to take taxis for those nights we didn’t want to drive."

"After driving down the winding New England path, you come to a group of houses nestled in the middle of a meadow. You can't help but notice the well kept lawn, blooming flowers, and a sparkling swimming pool. When you enter the main house you know you've come home. Rooms are tastefully furnished, yet very comfortable with many conveniences. You can work out, play ping-pong, or just relax in your own hot tub.
Bill and Betty Jean live on site, yet they are almost invisible, as are the renters in the nearby "Guest House." But Bill or Betty Jean are always available if there is a problem, or if you need directions, a recommendation, or a short chat. True, the house is not in the middle of town or directly on the beach; it is located mid-Island, convenient to everywhere. Do you want to take a bike ride, go to the beach, or browse in town? Jennie Lane is just a short drive there.
This was our fourth trip to Jennie Lane, and we can't think of staying anywhere else. It is one of the most relaxing and reasonable spots on Martha's Vineyard."

"We were looking for a charming vacation rental in an excellent location but off the beaten path to allow for privacy and this house was perfect. We have two teen-age kids and one "tween" and we were very comfortable. The location was so convenient that we walked into Edgartown or rode our bikes every day. The house was equipped with everything we needed including a lobster pot that allowed us to have our own lobster boil which we enjoyed on the deck. The beautifully landscaped and private yard was a peaceful and relaxing place to enjoy whether reading, hanging out in the hammock or making s'mores in the fire pit. Proximity to markets, shopping, restaurants and amenities allowed us to fully enjoy our vacation time. The owner was very responsive to our questions and accommodating. We would stay here again."
