Lovely, Relaxing Family or Group Vacation Home
"We just returned from a lovely 4th of July vacation at this home in West Tisbury. The home was all that was promised and more. Our party included 5 adults and 2 preteens and there was enough space that no one felt cramped. My nephews enjoyed the very spacious room that they called home for the week, in addition to the proximity of the community pool and basketball court that capped each day on the beach. The owners were lovely, helpful and very responsive and I could not be happier with our interactions. When planning a trip for your siblings and their families, it helps when everything lives up to expectations. The entire family is looking forward to making a return visit. This is a great house to relax. It's very quiet and secluded from the busy traffic of July on the Vineyard. It has a great central location and is an easy ride to Vineyard Haven, with the added bonus of being able to utilize Lambert’s Cove beach. This is a great spot for a group."

"We had a wonderful 2 week stay in this cozy home. It's off the beaten path but yet so close to everything. Great area for biking and walking. The deck was our favorite spot for morning coffee and dinners on the grill. And no mosquitos was a bonus! We loved watching the swaying oak branches from the master bedroom during the full moon nights. The house was spacious and very clean, and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed the outdoor shower!
Mark and Tess returned emails very quickly and returned our security deposit promptly. We had the pleasure of meeting them upon our arrival. They are lovely people. The caretakers Rusty and Sarah left a box of fresh produce on the porch which was so appreciated!
Thank you Mark and Tess for sharing your island home with us! We hope to return!"

"As so many others have said, this home is open and light-filled, has a great sense of style about it without it being overwhelming and is very clean! We picked it after looking online for days, it seemed, and we couldn't have been more pleased. We are a family of four, with two boys 17 and 13 who were quite comfortable!
My husband and I worked on the island during the summer some 25+ years ago and never knew this fantastic part of the island existed. We knew we did not want to be in Edgartown because of the traffic, but wanted to be near Edgartown because there's nothing like Edgartown. It was such a pleasure for us to get up way before our teenagers and explore the great ponds around this area on kayaks. We looked into a family membership with The Trustees of Reservations before our trip since Long Point was so accessible from the house and I think we spent some time there every day. We loved that you could be in freshwater and rinse off the salt water in a matter of steps. We also made daily trips to Morning Glory Farm and I think it's the prettiest vegetable market one would ever find! They had amazing breads, pates, coffee, etc. and if you haven't been there before, it is certainly worth a stop. Our teenagers know Flatbreads from where we live, so they were also excited to make a few after dinner pizza runs that was only a few minutes from the house.
Still, Max's was the highlight for us to have quality family time. Jon's outdoor shower was fantastic and he has a brand new washer and dryer that were so quiet, you wouldn't even know they were on....not that you could hear them anyway because they were tucked downstairs in an extremely clean basement. The upstairs master suite was my favorite part of the house....we loved it! Beds were all very comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet. The only "traffic" we heard the whole week was the Monday morning after the 4th of July when private jet after private jet headed south. I wouldn't hesitate to go back at all! Jon was always accessible from my very first inquiry to receiving our deposit back within days of leaving. I can see why he has so many fans! I am now one of them....thank you Jon! It was the kind of week I was hoping our family would have!"

"My family stayed at this wonderful beach loft for our family reunion. Although Kim did not greet us upon arrival, she was a wonderful owner and met our every need.
The sound system wasn't compatible with our iPhones and she purchased a new Bose system for us the very next day! Anything we needed or requested she provided.
The space was freshly cleaned and wonderfully decorated. It is perfect for a group of family or friends to spend time together yet have their own privacy in the bedrooms. There is also a great mini loft space above one of the bedrooms that is perfect for pre-teens to sleep and hang out. The photos do not do this place justice. It is very large and spacious.
The home is fully stocked with EVERYTHING you need from linens, soap, laundry detergent, beach chairs & towels to propane for the amazing grill! It is a perfect home to host a small gathering while visiting as well because of the amazing yard space and deck. The location is walking distance to the main street in town, Circuit Ave and a quick dive to the beach. We would definitely recommend this property!"
