  • Exactly What We Wanted

"This was my second year to the vineyard and we wanted a bigger house. This house Is exactly everything the owners said it would be and more. It's in a great location. You can walk to town in 5-7mins. The house is immaculate and spacious. It's nicely decorated. The owners paid attention to details when decorating. John, owner, was extremely responsive and helped with any questions or suggestions we needed. I would highly recommend this home. It's can sleep 9 comfortably."

  • Spacious, comfortable retreat

"As we pulled into the driveway and saw the large yard and privacy, we knew this was a great home for our family. The floor plan on the lower level is great with the kitchen open to dining and family room and a wonderful outdoor patio where we grilled out and dined almost nightly while the kids ran around in the yard. The outdoor shower was a bonus-I don't think anyone in our group took a shower indoors all week. There are 2 spacious bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and another large bedroom and bathroom downstairs which was great for my in-laws whom navigation of stairs can be tricky. The location is fantastic-a 10 minute drive from Edgartown, Menemsha, Lamberts Cove and only a 10 minute walk to Alley's General Store and the West Tisbury Library. We rode our bikes or walked every morning down a beautiful dirt country road and were just a short drive from a launch for our kayak. Debra is fantastic and was prompt to respond to any questions we had during our stay. We had a great week and look forward to returning next summer!"

  • A Little Piece of Paradise

"We stayed here June 15-22, 2014. What a beautiful place. The owner did not exaggerate anything about the place and gives you her phone number and email address. We had two small boys that had the time of their life. I loved the deck in the morning as I drank my coffee. The sunsets were unbelievable. This is a fantastic central location. Close to Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. We flew in on Cape Air (which was wonderful) and the house is only about 15 minutes from the airport. We rented linens from Takemmy Linen and they were at the door when we arrived. Shop for groceries at Stop and Shop in Edgartown because it is larger than the one in Vineyard Haven. Morning Glory Farms is open everyday and they have fresh vegetables and homemade breads/pie etc. The boys & adults loved Felix Neck Seashore Excursion, Longpoint Beach is worth the drive, State Beach has the calmest water, buy a kite at the Corner Store in Oak Bluffs and fly it in the park, drive over to Aquinnah to Gay Head, visit Polly Hill Arboretum for the plants, peacefulness and wildlife-deer, turkey, chipmunks, squirrels, birds. Visit the lighthouses. All the restaurants we ate at had good food with great service and were very accommodating with the small children...MV Chowder Co, Linda Jean's, Nancy's, Café in the Flowers, Guiadarno's, MV Brewery, Lobsterville Bar & Grill. The absolute best thing ever though is the beach right on the property. We swam, looked for sea creatures, loved the geese and ducks, built sand castles, and just relaxed. Our week wasn't long enough and I so appreciate having the opportunity to get to experience MV at this little piece of paradise."

Vineyard Haven Travel Tips

Vying for Vineyard Haven Lodging?

With plenty of excellent shops and fine restaurants, not to mention the breathtaking harbor, it is no wonder that Vineyard Haven lodging is so coveted by people looking for a little rest and relaxation on Martha’s Vineyard. As you plan out the perfect Martha’s Vineyard vacation, think about the natural beauty of the region with its clay cliffs, pristine beaches, and countless amounts of wildlife. Vineyard Haven rentals are ideal for the perfect family vacation.

Things to See near Vineyard Haven Lodging

Once you book Martha’s Vineyard rentals, it is time to start planning what you will see while you stay on the island. If you are a wine-lover, do not miss Chicama Vineyards, which is located on Stoney Hill Road. The winery offers tours and tastings all year long. If you have the kids with you during your stay in Vineyard Haven rentals, you will definitely want to stop by the West Chop Lighthouse, which was built in the late 19th century. While tours are not available, it is a sight to see.

Outdoor Activities and Martha’s Vineyard Rentals

No matter which Martha’s Vineyard rentals you end up choosing, you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be plenty of outdoor activities available. You can rent a bike or two and head out from your Vineyard Haven lodging down to the nearest beach and have a picnic. If the water is inviting, feel free to go for a swim! If you love golf, there are a few golf courses in the immediate area, so do not forget to take your clubs along to your Vineyard Haven rentals.

Vineyard Haven Rentals Architecture

Because so many Martha’s Vineyard rentals were built so long ago, there is a diverse collection of architecture and designs to behold during your visit. It is very likely that your Vineyard Haven lodging was built within the last decade, or more than 100 years ago during the whaling days of the island. Your rental could be the cottage or shed of the wealthiest whaler which is interesting to observe. As you enjoy your time in Vineyard Haven, be sure to look at all the different styles of architecture. You will be awed.
