  • Vineyard House

"This quaint Vintage 1930 bungalow is such a great find! Stroll down to Vineyard Haven (stores, restaurants, etc.) -The Steamship Authority, Supermarkets, Black Dog , Bus stop and much more @ a short distance. The house has a large back yard- good for picnics, BBQ and games- don't be surprised by the turkeys and babies that "mozy" on thru. The cozy front farmers porch - you can sit read a book &/or people/turkey watch while you sip on your summer cocktail or afternoon tea.... The bus (@ Steamship Authority area- makes several trips to all of the Island with various passes available- so convenient. The owners are "awesome"- and if you every visit Hawaii- look them up as they have a "Beach House" that is just fabulous!!!! Enjoy & have fun on the Island- Love it...."

  • PERFECT house for a family MV trip!

"Where do I begin? I guess I will start from the beginning! We initially reached out to "Dave" in early July, he responded almost immediately. From there, we decided to reserve his home in VH. Upon arrival, we found the house to be spotless and exactly as pictured/described! There were a couple of minor "issues" but Dave was quick to respond & did his absolute best to resolve! The house is very very spacious, 2 FULL Bath's on the First Floor & another Full Bath on the 2nd floor. There is also an outdoor shower but it is not enclosed. Perfect to rinse off when you've just come back from the beach! The kids LOVED having their own space upstairs in the "loft" area outside of the 2 twin bedded bedrooms. Up there is also a TV and DVD player so the kids were content for hours! There is even a small desk which came in handy for my kids who hadn't yet finished their Summer Homework! Whatever you think you might need, this house has! We didn't have room to bring Bikes, Dave was gracious enough to let us borrow theirs which worked out great! The front farmer's porch is AWESOME! Plenty of room for everyone to hang out & enjoy some "island porch time". After all, what's the Vineyard without a porch! There's also a smaller porch off the side of the house which was nice too! We were able to walk to VH in less than 10 minutes but I will say that it would be tough to do it with luggage...it's a short enough trip that if you don't have a car, a cab would be affordable! It's also within walking distance to the Friday Night Lobster Roll Fest at Grace Church...you have to check that out, if you haven't already! All in all, this house is very well priced & located! We typically stay in Oak Bluffs so it was nice to stay elsewhere & become acquainted with this part of the island! Dave is great as is the "handyman" Vinny next door! You won't be disappointed!"

  • Awesome Home

"We spent a week in this lovely home this summer with another family. The house was plenty big, open and airy. It was clean, comfortable and extremely relaxing. We had dinner outside on the beautiful deck and the kids spent hours playing football and baseball in the yard. Most definitely the nicest house we've ever rented on the Vineyard."

  • A wonderful house that everyone in our family enjoyed.

"The most wonderful thing about this house is the rural feel, yet its in the middle of Vineyard Haven close to the Library, Main Street restaurants, entertainment and shopping. You couldn't have a better location. The house itself was interesting and clearly a labor of love by the architect. The kitchen was well designed and easy to cook in, there was a charcoal grill in the backyard along with tables and chairs. The house has three floors, the first has an open floor plan with LR, DR and Kitchen, The bedrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Each floor having a full bath. Our family was very comfortable here and amazed how cool the house was even without AC. The owner/architect told us that he keeps the house cool with the design which allows hot air to rise up and create cool breezes. We never needed to use the fans that were in each bedroom. The Weisman's were wonderful to deal with regarding our rental details. Our family plans to make our annual pilgrimage to the Vineyard to this house."
