  • Private Paradise

"For any family seeking the perfectly appointed and located property on Martha's Vineyard, you need not look any further. Set directly between two island hot spots and ferry ports (Vineyard Haven/Oak Bluffs), this home delivers all you could want and more. With a private pool (gated and w/slide), as well as a fully stocked home with all the amenities (WiFi, laundry, a/c, tvs/DVD players, outdoor shower, whirlpool tub, board games, and wrap around exterior deck), there is no other location for the perfect family vacation. Rise and shine and head to Oak Bluffs for coffee/tea and muffins before heading out on an adventure hike, bike or walk to any of the area beaches/ponds (Sengy, State, etc.). Or, simply pull up your deck chair, book and cold beverage as you lounge in the private pool area to soak up the sun without leaving your house! Bait shop (for fishing/clamming gear) and gas station in walking distance, and location allows guest to avoid the main drags (and traffic congestion) courtesy of back road access. We've stayed at this property several summers and our children (under 10 years) love it. Just enough room to spread out, yet still be together. Nathan and Cheryl, the home owners and hosts, are incredibly responsive, organized and thoughtful. They do their utmost to ensure that their guests are taken care of--from home cleanliness to information about island activities. If you need something, simply ask and your hosts will do all they can to make your vacation as memorable as possible. For those without a car or with older children, be aware that this location is set back away from the main roads and 'action.' However, for families with younger children, this is the perfect (and we do mean perfect) location. You can stay on property and enjoy family time, or leverage it as a 'home base' for every adventure you can imagine (hiking trails, kayaking, clamming, beach, swimming, lighthouse tours or even a second ferry ride to Chappy). We highly recommend the property and even more highly recommend the hosts, Nathan and Cheryl, who seem to have renting down to a science."

  • Wonderful Home In A Great Location

"I recently returned from a fantastic week in this wonderful home in Oak Bluffs. The property is exactly as advertised with modern touches, yet still manages to maintain its charm. It is obvious that the owner has taken good care of the property and the recent updates are evident, all resulting in a very comfortable stay. The upstairs shower is a little tight, but the tub is amazing; there's a full shower on the main floor; and I can't say enough about the outside shower. On top of all that, the property is really just a short walk to the heart of Circuit Avenue or the beach. The minute we walked in we knew we would be back for another stay at this property. We have already started discussing next year's trip to the Vineyard and I only hope this property is available."

Things to See near Vineyard Haven Lodging

Once you book Martha’s Vineyard rentals, it is time to start planning what you will see while you stay on the island. If you are a wine-lover, do not miss Chicama Vineyards, which is located on Stoney Hill Road. The winery offers tours and tastings all year long. If you have the kids with you during your stay in Vineyard Haven rentals, you will definitely want to stop by the West Chop Lighthouse, which was built in the late 19th century. While tours are not available, it is a sight to see.

Outdoor Activities and Martha’s Vineyard Rentals

No matter which Martha’s Vineyard rentals you end up choosing, you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be plenty of outdoor activities available. You can rent a bike or two and head out from your Vineyard Haven lodging down to the nearest beach and have a picnic. If the water is inviting, feel free to go for a swim! If you love golf, there are a few golf courses in the immediate area, so do not forget to take your clubs along to your Vineyard Haven rentals.

Vineyard Haven Rentals Architecture

Because so many Martha’s Vineyard rentals were built so long ago, there is a diverse collection of architecture and designs to behold during your visit. It is very likely that your Vineyard Haven lodging was built within the last decade, or more than 100 years ago during the whaling days of the island. Your rental could be the cottage or shed of the wealthiest whaler which is interesting to observe. As you enjoy your time in Vineyard Haven, be sure to look at all the different styles of architecture. You will be awed.
