Beautiful, Comfortable Cottage
"We've been coming to the cottage for several years with our two children. It's the perfect mix of a quiet retreat and a place that is close to everything. A quick bike ride to Vineyard Haven and a slightly longer one to Oak Bluffs. It's an easy trip to any of the main beaches, restaurants and site seeing.
Our children love the meadow and the little beach. My wife and I love taking in the sunset views from the lawn chairs or from the table over dinner. There's plenty of room for our small family and an extra loft for a visiting friend or relative.
There's access to every activity you can think of on the Vineyard, and an escape from every activity when you just want to relax and let be."

"I stayed at this house for a girls getaway weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect. We did bring a car, but always walked into Oak Bluffs for dining and shopping. One night we walked to the bus stop and took the bus right into The Atlantic in Edgartown for dinner. Getting around was so easy! The house itself is spacious with a beachy vibe and very clean. The shed was stalked with lots of beach chairs, games and even a bike! Going with a large group can be tricky to coordinate, but I really enjoyed the convenience of this home. I'm an early bird, so waking up early, walking into town to get coffee and drinking it on the front porch before anyone wakes up - simply perfect. Can't wait to return again next year!"

"Where do I begin? I guess I will start from the beginning! We initially reached out to "Dave" in early July, he responded almost immediately. From there, we decided to reserve his home in VH.
Upon arrival, we found the house to be spotless and exactly as pictured/described!
There were a couple of minor "issues" but Dave was quick to respond & did his absolute best to resolve!
The house is very very spacious, 2 FULL Bath's on the First Floor & another Full Bath on the 2nd floor. There is also an outdoor shower but it is not enclosed. Perfect to rinse off when you've just come back from the beach!
The kids LOVED having their own space upstairs in the "loft" area outside of the 2 twin bedded bedrooms. Up there is also a TV and DVD player so the kids were content for hours! There is even a small desk which came in handy for my kids who hadn't yet finished their Summer Homework!
Whatever you think you might need, this house has! We didn't have room to bring Bikes, Dave was gracious enough to let us borrow theirs which worked out great!
The front farmer's porch is AWESOME! Plenty of room for everyone to hang out & enjoy some "island porch time". After all, what's the Vineyard without a porch! There's also a smaller porch off the side of the house which was nice too!
We were able to walk to VH in less than 10 minutes but I will say that it would be tough to do it with luggage...it's a short enough trip that if you don't have a car, a cab would be affordable! It's also within walking distance to the Friday Night Lobster Roll Fest at Grace Church...you have to check that out, if you haven't already!
All in all, this house is very well priced & located! We typically stay in Oak Bluffs so it was nice to stay elsewhere & become acquainted with this part of the island!
Dave is great as is the "handyman" Vinny next door! You won't be disappointed!"
