  • Labor Day weekend

"Just spent a fun-filled relaxing weekend at Carolgene's place at Priscilla Beach. This is a very comfortable, attractive, home. The first floor is spacious, seating for a group and conducive to finding a space for quiet time if you prefer. The second floor boasts four bedrooms and a full bath, plenty of comfortable beds for a houseful. Linens were provided too! We were pleasantly surprised to find that the office has a real mattress and not an air mattress. The kitchen is well-equipped and there are three choices for dinner seating; outside deck, screened porch, or in the kitchen. Carolgene's property is a short walk to Priscilla Beach, step out her front door and you can see the ocean from the street. This is a family beach, complete with Labor Day foot races and our own small tidal pool, perfect for the little ones. There are plenty of extras in Carolgene's house, beach chairs, games, etc. Priscilla Beach is a family friendly area, close to a large grocery store and a drug store. Carolgene was organized, responsive and easy to work with. Look forward to renting again. Thanks Carolgene, our weekend was everything we wanted it to be!"

  • Old school charm with plenty of comforts

"When you walk into this charming cottage you immediately can tell that this is a much loved family vacation home with a long history from the old black and white photos and the collection of classic books on the shelves. No cheesy tchotchkes, or goofy fake nautical antiques adorning the walls. The house and location are perfect for so many reasons: the kids can walk back and forth to the beach without the hassle of having to pack everything for the day; the kitchen is well equipped; the yard perfect for playing and BBQs; furniture is comfortable and not precious - you can put your feet up without stressing about a bit of sand on them; the essential outdoor shower is what it is and unless you have peeping toms in your family, there's no lack of privacy; the beds are firm. We had a lot of rain during our visit but the kids loved playing games inside while the adults kicked back on the comfy sofas reading and napping. What more does anyone want on a vacation? I think it'd make a great film set location with so much nostalgic charm. It's exactly what we imagined Nantucket to be like."

  • active vacationers

"This house was perfect for a summer Cape Cod vacation! It was secluded so it provided such a quiet, tranquil environment, right on the lake! The available kayaks were such a wonderful addition! We made good use of the fire pit and the grill, and the outside deck was used for every meal! It was just a beautiful setting! One of the best added features was the outdoor shower! The weather really cooperated, so the outdoor shower was a treat you just don't get at home! The location was perfect, close to great restaurants, the national seashore and the rail trail. We couldn't have asked for a nicer vacation! A quiet location, yet close to all the activities you'd need. It was a perfect mix."

  • Nantucket get a way

"Thank you for renting your house to us. We enjoyed staying in the cottage that was is a great spot - close to the beach and a short bike ride to town. We loved how we did not need a car! We thank you for letting us have use of the bikes in the garage too. We appreciate your kindness and willingness to share a place with so much history to it and one that has been in your family for so long."
