"We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home - very clean, lovely sized bedrooms. A little bit outside of town but we rented bicycles and found that taxis were very easy to come by. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!"

  • Getaway to M V

"My husband and I just had the best time in this house. It has a superb location, a cycle ride to Edgar town , where we had cocktails in two bars. Dinners in two five star restaurant s with excellent food. A cycle to south beach. And back to an extremely comfortable, spotless and efficient house."

  • 3 Years in a Row!

"We've recently returned from our third stay at the Kottage. Really appreciated all the improvements in the kitchen, living room, and outdoors: it's always been just fine, but the new cabinets, furniture, and other things make it that much nicer. Perfect location--walkable to everything in Oak Bluffs so you can avoid the traffic jams and my daughter and I even jogged over to Vineyard Haven, an easy run from the Kottage. Gretchen, the property manager is just across the street and is very helpful & available. Oh, and perfect weather, too!"

  • PERFECT house for a family MV trip!

"Where do I begin? I guess I will start from the beginning! We initially reached out to "Dave" in early July, he responded almost immediately. From there, we decided to reserve his home in VH. Upon arrival, we found the house to be spotless and exactly as pictured/described! There were a couple of minor "issues" but Dave was quick to respond & did his absolute best to resolve! The house is very very spacious, 2 FULL Bath's on the First Floor & another Full Bath on the 2nd floor. There is also an outdoor shower but it is not enclosed. Perfect to rinse off when you've just come back from the beach! The kids LOVED having their own space upstairs in the "loft" area outside of the 2 twin bedded bedrooms. Up there is also a TV and DVD player so the kids were content for hours! There is even a small desk which came in handy for my kids who hadn't yet finished their Summer Homework! Whatever you think you might need, this house has! We didn't have room to bring Bikes, Dave was gracious enough to let us borrow theirs which worked out great! The front farmer's porch is AWESOME! Plenty of room for everyone to hang out & enjoy some "island porch time". After all, what's the Vineyard without a porch! There's also a smaller porch off the side of the house which was nice too! We were able to walk to VH in less than 10 minutes but I will say that it would be tough to do it with luggage...it's a short enough trip that if you don't have a car, a cab would be affordable! It's also within walking distance to the Friday Night Lobster Roll Fest at Grace Church...you have to check that out, if you haven't already! All in all, this house is very well priced & located! We typically stay in Oak Bluffs so it was nice to stay elsewhere & become acquainted with this part of the island! Dave is great as is the "handyman" Vinny next door! You won't be disappointed!"
