  • Home away from Home

"This home was the perfect base for our introduction to Martha's Vineyard. It offered an easy drive to beautiful beaches as well as a short, delightful walk into Edgartown. The owners were gracious and so helpful with their recommendations of how to make the most of our visit. We felt at home in the house which accommodated our family perfectly. There was both plenty of room to spread out or gather together. The peace and tranquility of the setting were an added plus."

  • A great place to stay

"My wife, 14 month old daughter, and I stayed here for a week in early July 2014. This house was perfect for us. The bedrooms are nice and very adequate for what you'd want in a place that you are staying for a full week. The kitchen is nice with most everything that you'd need/want. There is a nice big family room with high ceilings and 2 large couches and plenty of room for kids to play. There is also a flat screen TV and DVD player (and Joe has it stocked with lots and lots of DVD movies to choose from!). The back deck is great and the outdoor grill was very nice to have. We used it 3-4 times. The best thing about this house (for us, at least) was the location. It is a 5 minute walk to the grocery store, which is extremely helpful. Downtown Edgartown is about a 10 minute walk. There is also a school nearby with lots of open fields and plenty of jungle gyms and swings for kids. If you don't plan on having a car during your stay, this is a great house because you can walk to so many things. We did have a car and only really used it to go out to South Beach and to travel to other parts of the island to explore. Joe, the owner, is very responsive to any questions or concerns. We had only one small issue with the outdoor shower not being turned on, and Joe responded to our email immediately and had the issue resolved in a matter of hours. We highly recommend this house to a family with young kids or to a couple (or a set of couples) looking to have a nice quiet vacation on the Vineyard."

  • Great house for a family and friends!

"This is a great house in a quiet neighborhood. Located on a small dirt road between Herring Creek Road and Katama Road, this quaint New England Cape home is a perfect getaway for a quiet and relaxing vacation. From the layout to the multiple bathrooms and the many fans, to the closet filled with games, the house had everything we needed. Without a car, you can walk into town within 20 minutes. A bike or car are more necessary to make it to the beach, but it's still very close (about 2 miles). I would absolutely stay here again with both my family and friends. The house is perfect for any age."

Martha’s Vineyard Resorts Offer Plenty of Activity for Everyone

Any stay in Martha’s Vineyard rentals demands at least a self-guided tour of the “Campgrounds.” More than 180 cottages are privately owned and maintained, but some are available for rent, too.

Martha’s Vineyard lodging also offers easy access to several natural attractions in the area such as the Mytoi Japanese Garden and the Polly Hill Arboretum. You’ll appreciate an afternoon of simply being in the presence of the surrounding plant life, or rent a bicycle to ride through the colorful fields of flowers and blooming trees. Martha’s Vineyard resorts offer a wealth of history and culture for all that is largely unique to this special island, no matter what time of year you decide to visit.
