  • Fun and charming

"We loved our visit to Chatham and this lovely home. We were 3 couples invited to a wedding in Chatham and decided to rent the Isaac Bea Young 1840 House and use it as our base. We couldn't have been more pleased. The home was so well located, near all the quaint shops and restaurants. The kitchen was well equipped and the gardens were delightful. Janet even invited us to have some of her home-grown tomatoes. Yummy! But perhaps the most unexpected and best feature of the home was the outdoor shower. We loved it. If our travels take us to Cape Cod again, we will certainly look into renting this home. Thank you, Janet, for everything."

  • Charming, cozy, comfortable

"This charming cottage in the midst of the forest is a delightful find! My husband and I stayed here for about 10 days in August. Our adult kids came out to join us for a couple of nights. We all had a wonderful time, including picnics at Tanglewood and Jacob’s Pillow, wandering around Great Barrington, and a day trip to Mount Greylock and the Clark Institute in Williamstown. But best of all was reading in the hammock on the screen porch with a cup of coffee, or listening to music while chopping vegetables for dinner in the big open kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, and the hosts have arranged the house very intuitively so that everything is right where you need it. Their recommendations for places to eat, local hikes, and other entertainments helped us get situated right away, and they were very gracious and responsive to any inquiries. We really enjoyed the mix of quiet solitude and cultural activity—not to mention the beauty of the natural setting – and hope to go back when the opportunity arises."

  • Great Island Sanctuary

"A wonderful cozy cottage strategically located fjust out of Edgartown for the best of day-tripping all over Martha's Vineyard. Whether to Chappaquidick or Menemsha, you are set for easy access and participating in every facet of island life from sighing to organic farming. Very spacious living room with great flat screen reception and large kitchen and eating area with beautiful hardwood floors throughout. Wonderful water pressure and plenty of hot water in the newly done bathroom and shower to take the daily grime away. Every evening we enjoyed a nightcap while seeing all the stars that we never see in the city and listening to the crickets - mulling over all the beauty we had seen and things we learned about MV that day. This island along with the cozy cottage will lower your blood pressure like nothing else. Serenity defined. Be sure to meet Bella, stately Grand Dame Golden, who also calls this property home."

  • Nice, cozy vacation place to stay all year round

"My family, my husband, our two grand daughters and my son and daugther in law, used the propriety for our ski vacations for three years in a row. The house is very pretty, well maintained, exceptionally clean, and its smell of wooden loggs contibute to the feeling of wellbeing. The proprety has all amennities (stove, refrigerator, kitchen utensills ) to make your stay comfortable and homley. We definitely recommend the propriety for vacation."
