  • Beautiful Sunsets Perfect Location

"We found this beautiful Upside Down House to be perfect in so many ways. The location sits slightly back off Madaket Road but near the Island Bus Line and the bike path. It is private but with easy access to Madaket Beaches , Millies Restaurant or a quick trip around the Island or into Town. The house itself is well maintained , stocked and furnished for a fabulous beach vacation ( truly everything you need is available for food preparation or an afternoon at the beach) . The second floor porch off the kitchen and living area gives you a front row seat to the famous and beautiful Madaket sunsets. This is a comfortable home perfect for a family vacation or a couple or two couples wanting to stay in a location outside of town. We had a great time here and the owners were very easy to deal with and accommodating - - Really a nice vacation house , what more can I say"

  • Amazing Vacation Home

"This home was absolutely perfect! It was exactly as represented on the site (even better than expected) and had all of the amenities our large group required - including A/C a must for us! We had four adults, 3 teenage girls and 4 children between the ages of 8 and 12. The house comfortably fit all eleven of us with room to spare! Having 3 full baths and one outdoor shower was an incredible luxury given the size of our crew. There was plenty of cozy space to hang out and relax with the family. The kitchen was large and easy to work in with every possible amenity you could want. The downstairs was beautifully renovated with high ceilings that made all of the bedrooms very comfortable. The best part of this property for us was the LOCATION!! It could not have been better... the walk to town was quick and beautiful. Getting to town was so easy we let our kids walk their on their own every day. Our boys used the baseball fields right up the street to play a week long whiffle ball tournament and our favorite beach (Surfside) was a short drive with easy parking or bike ride away. We cannot say enough about this beautiful home. This may have been our best Nantucket vacation yet and in large part because of the comfort and luxuries this amazing home offered!! We would highly recommend this rental to anyone!"

  • Many Castles Nantucket, MA

"Excellent vacation at Many Castles Nantucket, MA. Listing description was accurate and the listing photos were accurate. The house is very comfortable. Top of the line electronics (diverse and large DVD library) and household amenities, including new stove; perfect for cooking lobsters! Hmm. Lots of board games for the kids. Ocean views from living area and spacious ocean facing deck as described. Beds were very comfortable and all linens, towels, and comforters top of the line; like staying at a hotel. Location was quiet and quiet not crowded beach nearby as described by owner. All other beaches easy driving distances. Excellent paved and dirt biking paths which traverse the island. We rented bikes from Island Bikes. Island Bikes was excellent and their bikes were top notch. They also deliver and pick up for free. Others charge $10. We rode bikes more than drove car. A compact car will meet your needs; unless you expect to go offroad --which you will have to do to reach distant fishing and beach spots. Then you will need a four wheel drive. The town of Nantucket has many fine restaurants, taverns, and candy stores. More gummy bears, if you please. There are many historical sites in and around town. The Whaling museum is a must stop. There is great fishing from the beach and a myriad of private boats. Several tackle stores nearby to rent gear; boats supply everything. We caught 30 fish and cooked many of them on the excellent new gas grill on the deck. The house is very clean and very well maintained. Outdoor shower (enclosed except for roof) is fantastic. I showered only once inside. Night stars are incredible. Very little ambient light. Owner very helpful, friendly and responsive. I would recommend this property to family and friends. In fact I already have."

  • Reunion with long time friend and her family

"The island welcomed us with sunshine, and warm breezes. The cottage was spotless upon arrival. East pond had delicious waters to wade in, and North pond had several swans. We also saw a Harrier Hawk, a deer, and some plovers. The electric storm one night was exciting, and the rain welcoming. Most importantly was the visit I had with my friend. A special place to reconnect."
