"We had an amazing month long vacation in this home on Hither Creek in Madaket. Highlights of this home are the back porch seating and dining overlooking Hither Creek and waterfront views from upstairs together and designer elements in every aspect of the interior of the house. In every aspect the owning family insists on the guests having a relaxing and adventure filled vacation ( ordered up a July 4 Hurricane for us). Whether the golf cart to Millie's, walk to the beach or long bike rides to and from town, this house provides the location and comforts for a great stay."Guest: TSB Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: August 25, 2014View listing
"The owner has taken exceptional care to provide every detail for a most enjoyable week in tranquility. The views are spectacular from the upstairs deck. Such a peaceful spot to enjoy my morning coffee! The kitchen had everything imaginable for cooking all our meals."Guest: Jennie40 Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 6, 2014View listing
"First the basics - Seaduced is exactly as advertised, the listing and pictures are accurate, the house is clean and well maintained, the owner was pleasant, helpful and honest, we would recommend staying here to anyone and the beach is right out off the deck. My wife and I stayed here for a week with our adult sons, their significant others, our dog and my wife's mother. It was the perfect choice - everyone had their own sleeping space and plenty of common area to enjoy eachothers' company. All the room are fully furnished. None of the rooms are small. Perfect! The main living area is comprised of the entrance, kitchen, dining room and living room (all open), from the main level 3 steps down to two bedrooms and a jack and jill bath, from the main level 6 steps up to two bedrooms and a jack and jill bath. All those rooms have swinging or pocket doors. Nice! The house is outfitted with everything you need for a week at the beach - ample kitchen with cookware, tools, appliances, dishes, glasses, flatware, etc.; beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, boards, kites, etc.; gas grill; deck furniture; a garage for the car; grass area for the dog; a path through the brush to the private beach; outdoor shower. Wonderful! When we arrived the house was spotless, all the beds were freshly made, plenty of blankets, towels, and pillows. Convenient! The house is very secluded, it is on an easy to navigate dirt road, directly on the beach, NOT within a stones throw of the next house. If you see another person, you take notice. Private! Pleasant sea breezes, the sound of the surf 24/7, beautiful sunrises, sunsets and moonlit, starry nights. Spectacular!"Guest: John B Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 13, 2014View listing
"Wow!! Having spent a number of summers on Nantucket, but never before at the beach in Madaket, I can now say I know exactly what all of the insiders have long known; Madaket IS Nantucket summertime perfection! It is exactly why people flock to the island. And "Abigale' is the most perfect location to be. Stunning sunsets, steps to the beach, and sleeping to the cool sea breezes. A traditional beach cottage, with the amenities but without the pretense, it is cheerfully decorated, comfortable, and has really comfortable beds! We spent the days kayaking, clamming out at Esther's Point, swimming in the ocean and the harbor, taking long walks, and just relaxing on the front yard Adirondacks, watching the beachgoers walk by, and BBQ-ing the day's fresh catch. It is such an incredible atmosphere; laid back and with a pace that begs for relaxation. And if you happen to not feel like beating down the summer traffic in town, you can either procure the evening's meal next door at the mini-Millie's Market, or just pop in to Millie's for some excellent fresh fish tacos and 'Madaket Mysteries'. Also convenient is the island bus and bike path, right out front. You needn't even bring your car. The owners are wonderful people, and right in the neighborhood, should you need anything. They know everything there is to know about the island....a great source of local info for the tourists. (Neal even took us out fishing for a day)!! All in all, it was probably the best week we've ever spent on Nantucket.....and that's going back quite a long time! We give this beach cottage a perfect '10' and highly recommend it to anyone looking for that authentic Nantucket beach experience!"Guest: Jennifer C.
