Recent Nantucket Island property reviews

  • Memorable Vacation

"Sea Castle was terrific and my family and I had a wonderful time. Christine and Karl are wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Everything from a welcome cheese platter and treats for the kids to a perfectly appoiinted house with everything we needed for the beach too. I can't recommend Sea Castle more. Nantucket is a beautiful island made even nicer because of Christine and Karl."

  • Perfect Nantucket Cottage!

"Nantucket can be somewhat overwhelming when you are looking for a place to stay. However, if you are looking for comfort, simplicity and the most convenient location, THIS IS THE PLACE! I have been renting this cottage for four years running and we rent it several times a year... in the summer and in the fall. From this comfy cottage, you are within a 10 minute ride to everywhere... beach, town and Cisco Brewery. If you prefer to leave the car parked, Island bikes is across the street with affordable rentals and the town bike path can take you from one side of the island to the other. The owner is delightful and flexible, which makes renting this cottage that much easier. We absolutely love working with her."

  • A well-loved family home, open to visitors

"This house is exactly as described: charming and comfortable. It's not just a rental--the owners use it and it's equipped to reflect that. The kitchen has good appliances, cookware and tools (a phenomenal lobster pot), the basement is filled with bikes, beach chairs, towels, and all manner of beach toys. I think we appreciated most the nice linens and very comfortable beds. Being a year-round house it doesn't have a real "beach" feeling but the excellent location on a 'Sconset side street puts you just minutes from the beach, the market, restaurants and the bus stop and within blocks of two bike paths. The large, level grassy lot is great for games and spreading out. The house is quiet, so our group, which ranged in age from 9 to 60, could go to bed early, sleep late or make coffee at 7 a.m. without disturbing anyone else. I do give it a couple of dings on privacy, though: the house shares a driveway with a business, which means a fair amount of truck traffic during the day. There's a small house on the same lot that is either another rental or occupied by the owner and her family. Biggest lack: no outside shower, though I've been told one may be in the works soon."
