  • Many Castles Nantucket, MA

"Excellent vacation at Many Castles Nantucket, MA. Listing description was accurate and the listing photos were accurate. The house is very comfortable. Top of the line electronics (diverse and large DVD library) and household amenities, including new stove; perfect for cooking lobsters! Hmm. Lots of board games for the kids. Ocean views from living area and spacious ocean facing deck as described. Beds were very comfortable and all linens, towels, and comforters top of the line; like staying at a hotel. Location was quiet and quiet not crowded beach nearby as described by owner. All other beaches easy driving distances. Excellent paved and dirt biking paths which traverse the island. We rented bikes from Island Bikes. Island Bikes was excellent and their bikes were top notch. They also deliver and pick up for free. Others charge $10. We rode bikes more than drove car. A compact car will meet your needs; unless you expect to go offroad --which you will have to do to reach distant fishing and beach spots. Then you will need a four wheel drive. The town of Nantucket has many fine restaurants, taverns, and candy stores. More gummy bears, if you please. There are many historical sites in and around town. The Whaling museum is a must stop. There is great fishing from the beach and a myriad of private boats. Several tackle stores nearby to rent gear; boats supply everything. We caught 30 fish and cooked many of them on the excellent new gas grill on the deck. The house is very clean and very well maintained. Outdoor shower (enclosed except for roof) is fantastic. I showered only once inside. Night stars are incredible. Very little ambient light. Owner very helpful, friendly and responsive. I would recommend this property to family and friends. In fact I already have."

  • Great month on the island!

"Can't say enough about the home, yard, neighborhood and location. So many special nooks for great memories. Terrific for multi-families - the "carriage house" adds a great spot for a couple who might need a little space from the rest! The walk to the beach on the north side of the island is so lovely - makes you feel like you are accessing a spot in the world that only a few know about. Highly recommend a walk out there at sunset, perhaps with some wine and cheese. The hammock in the front yard is perfect for naps and nighttime star gazing - the property is virtually mosquito free because of the weekly spraying they do. The backyard is gorgeously maintained and private - a peaceful retreat! Being able to walk to the Wave was a huge plus. It's so reliable and a great way to get around without hassles of town traffic/parking and a safe bet after cocktails. Great communication with owner who addressed small hiccup (cleaning crew didn't show when they were supposed to) immediately and effectively. Highly recommend all around!!!!"

  • Memorable Vacation

"Sea Castle was terrific and my family and I had a wonderful time. Christine and Karl are wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Everything from a welcome cheese platter and treats for the kids to a perfectly appoiinted house with everything we needed for the beach too. I can't recommend Sea Castle more. Nantucket is a beautiful island made even nicer because of Christine and Karl."

  • August Vacationers

"We have multigenerational family reunions each year on Nantucket and prefer properties with a main house and a separate apartment or guesthouse. Because of the ages of our family, we also prefer houses with king or queen sized bedrooms, and these can be hard to find. This property exactly met our needs. There are five comfortably sized and comfortable bedrooms (one king and four queen beds) in the main house, as well as a sixth bedroom with a daybed for overflow visitors. The apartment over the garage is spacious, with another queen sized beds and full furnishings and amenities, including kitchen and washer dryer. The outdoor spaces, including an enormous deck with outdoor shower, are great. The property is surrounded and secluded by lovely gardens and a variety of shaded or sunny seating areas. We loved the easy access to Tom Nevers beach, Sconset, and the bike paths. The house and gardens are beautifully maintained and the owners were completely responsive to any questions that arose during our stay. All in all, this was our best rental ever."
