  • OUTSTANDING STAY

"The house was immaculately clean. GREAT new amenities and plenty of space to spread out. House is conveniently located near town....an easy walk or 4 min car ride. Working grill out front the gated patio (safe and easy for small kids) is a great compliment to the fully working kitchen. We loved it and will staty there again."

  • Absolute Gem of a Madaket Beach Cottage! Nantucket Summertime Perfection!!

"Wow!! Having spent a number of summers on Nantucket, but never before at the beach in Madaket, I can now say I know exactly what all of the insiders have long known; Madaket IS Nantucket summertime perfection! It is exactly why people flock to the island. And "Abigale' is the most perfect location to be. Stunning sunsets, steps to the beach, and sleeping to the cool sea breezes. A traditional beach cottage, with the amenities but without the pretense, it is cheerfully decorated, comfortable, and has really comfortable beds! We spent the days kayaking, clamming out at Esther's Point, swimming in the ocean and the harbor, taking long walks, and just relaxing on the front yard Adirondacks, watching the beachgoers walk by, and BBQ-ing the day's fresh catch. It is such an incredible atmosphere; laid back and with a pace that begs for relaxation. And if you happen to not feel like beating down the summer traffic in town, you can either procure the evening's meal next door at the mini-Millie's Market, or just pop in to Millie's for some excellent fresh fish tacos and 'Madaket Mysteries'. Also convenient is the island bus and bike path, right out front. You needn't even bring your car. The owners are wonderful people, and right in the neighborhood, should you need anything. They know everything there is to know about the island....a great source of local info for the tourists. (Neal even took us out fishing for a day)!! All in all, it was probably the best week we've ever spent on Nantucket.....and that's going back quite a long time! We give this beach cottage a perfect '10' and highly recommend it to anyone looking for that authentic Nantucket beach experience!"

  • Close to home…yet so "Far Out"

""Far Out" was the ideal spot for a girls' getaway in early fall. We wanted to stay close to home (we all live on Nantucket) but get away from it all and this house and setting provided the perfect spot for us. The house is clean, simple and very cozy. We enjoyed several nights sitting around the table eating, drinking wine and playing games. The house is equipped with everything we needed for our four day stay. During the day, we hung out on the outside deck in the chairs and loungers and took in the abundant sunshine, vast blue skies and the incredible colors of the surrounding vegetation. We used the bikes provided to explore Tuckernuck and all the natural beauty this wonderful island offers. David, the caretaker and our new friend, made the trip over to Tuckernuck on his boat an adventure and set us up for a wonderful weekend. Suzanne made sure we were all set before our weekend away and checked in afterwards to be sure we had enjoyed our stay at her property. We decided a girls' trip to Tuckernuck after the hectic summer on Nantucket will be an annual event for us! Thank you Suzanne and thank you David - looking forward to our next trip "Far Out"!"

  • Perfect In Every Way!

"We had the pleasure of returning to this beautiful home in mid-June for a second time. As a family of four, with twins in college, once again it looked like the shoulder season fit our summer schedules best. When we brought up summer vacation last winter, returning to Nantucket and this gorgeous, comfortable, well located home was the unanimous first choice. My husband and I have been vacationing in Nantucket on and off for 26 years. Until we discovered this house, we always stayed in town, but we are now total “converts” to the mid-island stay. With grown kids away at school, it's all about being together, and this lovely home lent itself to that so well. From there, we biked to four different beaches. Bikes are included, even one with a wagon to cart groceries, or beach supplies, which are also included. We biked to Bartlett Farms to buy fresh produce, Cisco Brewery to hear a band, and into town for dining and souvenir shopping. This year we rented a car for a few days and caught a perfect Madaket sunset. My daughter and I love to cook, which is such a pleasure in Nancy’s well appointed kitchen. The house is immaculate and spectacular in every way, with a great selection of books, music, games, and a dock to play your own music. Seems like Nancy thought of everything, right down to the most comfortable bed linens to lull you into a good sleep. Upon leaving, my husband and I gave a look, knowing we shared the same thoughts, hoping for at least one more return trip here with our kids to make more Nantucket memories."
