"This is a lovely home. Well cared for. Well designed. Great flow. Nice mix of light and airy rooms, but also cool and comfy rooms to retreat to when you feel bleached out by the sun.
Immaculately clean. Appliances clean and fully functional. Lovely kitchen a pleasure to use. Owner has excellent taste and has furnished the home as though for personal use; quality linens, glassware, appliances, and so on.
Two bedrooms downstairs at some distance from upstairs master suite give parents with teens a little breathing space (unlike most rentals where a traditional format would have everyone in the same sleeping area.)
Location is ideal: near beach, but tucked away for supreme privacy and peace in an otherwise dense area. We spent days biking, hiking, beaching, but happily landed back at Clovelly for the comforts of home. Easy walk to delightful restaurants, and the bustle of Nantucket is only 20 minutes away if you need more variety.
We are already dreaming about coming back."

"New house in terrific location in sconset, only a few minutes walk to the heart of the village and beach. Interior was carefully designed for living with style but practicality. Property is very well-maintained with all the beach house necessities: good grill, teak outdoor dining set (+ rocking chairs), beach chairs & umbrellas, abundant library of reads, and a great outdoor shower. Charming decor with distinctive Nantucket style combined with all the modern necessities including reliable wireless and solid AC. Very well-equipped for a family vacation (and relaxing in a deep soaking tub) and gorgeous landscaping. Owner is excellent at managing property from afar and very pleasant to work with."

"We have been vacationing on Nantucket for just over 20 years. Over the past few vacations we have migrated from in-town back to the slower and more relaxing beach areas. We bring over our car so there really is not any reason to stay in town. This property is the perfect home to enjoy all that Nantucket has to offer. My kids preferred the convenient walk across the street and down the path to the isolated beach during the sunny days, in past years we would need to drive the beach. The Summer House restaurant is conveniently located just up the street for those nights that you want to step it up but still simply walk along the ocean past the rose covered fences on your way to dinner. The area also provided an ideal backdrop for our bicycle rides and the early morning runs. We ended up cooking at the house most nights on the grill before playing the numerous board games, puzzles and cards that are available. The family was able to unwind and truly enjoyed our time together at Low Salt. This house is very nice with a living room for the adults and then a separate beach themed living space that worked out well for the kids, especially when we wanted to retire for the evening prior to the others. I looked forward to the antique hand cranked coffee bean grinder that is mounted in the kitchen; it was the perfect touch to starting your day in a place that you want the time to just stand still. Book the Low Salt house with confidence if you have toddlers, children or are all adults.

"We have been renting in 'Sconset for years and I always loved Broadway and Center Street just north of the historic town pump. Ivy Lodge (as we learned on our tour) is one of the original 44 cottages of 'Sconset dating back to 1745. We also learned the old mulberry tree in the back yard is one of 3 remaining on Nantucket from 1740 when islanders made a failed attempt at growing silk worms. So much history and beauty within 50 yards of this home, I couldn't get enough.
This is not a gut rehabbed home that has been stripped of its fine character. You feel like you are walking right into a page of history. This home is situated smack dab in the middle of where most of the 'Sconset post cards are photographed and the well known artist/painter William "Bill" Welch does many of his beautiful water colors. It was a true Nantucket experience that we would highly recommend.
As for the house itself: The pictures are true to form. It is very comfortable, plenty of natural light. The front porch makes a nice setting for dinners or drinks after a day of exploring. The beds are very comfortable and it appears the mattresses are high quality and new. I particularly liked the second floor of North as it reminded me of sleeping in a whaling ship with all the beaded pine and angled ceilings. You can even hear the ocean from your bedroom, the air is so still and quiet at night. The heavy salt air had me sleeping like a baby."
