  • Simply Perfect

"This magical home was heaven. It was perfect in every way. To have the ocean steps away from the home is priceless. It had everything I needed; Dreamy beds, Coffee on the beach every morning, an amazing outdoor shower, the best running routes right outside the front door, a very powerful washer and dryer and most important to me....simplicity. This home is what Nantucket is and should be - a beautiful cottage on the sea. Some would think that it's not for children - maybe because there aren't 3 tvs and four different living rooms to choose from. But it actually is for children and families. It is a place to bond with your family - to become creative and just simply enjoy each other. I went with 2 8yr olds and1 4yr old. They absolutely loved it. An added bonus ..... the homeowners couldn't be sweeter and more welcoming. If I could, I would rent this home all summer long."

  • A well-loved family home, open to visitors

"This house is exactly as described: charming and comfortable. It's not just a rental--the owners use it and it's equipped to reflect that. The kitchen has good appliances, cookware and tools (a phenomenal lobster pot), the basement is filled with bikes, beach chairs, towels, and all manner of beach toys. I think we appreciated most the nice linens and very comfortable beds. Being a year-round house it doesn't have a real "beach" feeling but the excellent location on a 'Sconset side street puts you just minutes from the beach, the market, restaurants and the bus stop and within blocks of two bike paths. The large, level grassy lot is great for games and spreading out. The house is quiet, so our group, which ranged in age from 9 to 60, could go to bed early, sleep late or make coffee at 7 a.m. without disturbing anyone else. I do give it a couple of dings on privacy, though: the house shares a driveway with a business, which means a fair amount of truck traffic during the day. There's a small house on the same lot that is either another rental or occupied by the owner and her family. Biggest lack: no outside shower, though I've been told one may be in the works soon."

  • great family house

"This house was set up perfectly and had everything we needed. It had a great location for us..access to bike trails, easy drive to beaches, bike or take shuttle to town, and it was on a quiet sandy road with a great view. With the number of bathrooms (3 1/2) for my family of eight...perfect. There was plenty of space to get together or find a quiet place to read. We will definitely rent this house again if we return to Nantucket."
