  • Wonderful apartment in Marblehead

"We stayed here in mid-August 2014 & thoroughly enjoyed our time in Marblehead! There is a side door to the left side of the house with staircase directly to the 3rd floor apt - while you might be out of breathe at the top - it's worth the hike! The apartment is spacious and was a perfect choice for us along with our 9 yr old & my 71 yr mom. The 9 yr old used the day bed in the corner of the living room and for a small additional fee, we used the 2nd bedroom (1 queen bed) for my mom. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and we had breakfast there each morning - plus dinners a few nights. The apartment, towels and bedding are all in pristine condition - just keep in mind that this is a very old house and you will feel some un-eveness in the floors. The property is in a central location within Marblehead's old town. Although we did several day trips into Boston (drive ~30 min to closest subway stop & take the T), just staying in the village is a lovely relaxing time. The home owner provided maps with location of beaches, eating places, etc as well as many details on where to find things. Local people in Marblehead were wonderul and welcoming! We met local families several times at the beaches and at the Little Harbor Boathouse (for SUP board & Kayaking). While the water is cold - the welcome is warm! The mansion tours, shopping and walking around the local areas are fabulous! Enjoy your time here - we surely did!"

  • Nirvana at Good Harbor Beach

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you have a group of ten and can manage the expense, this is an ideal arrangement. Beautiful house, fully outfitted, with easy access to Good Harbor Beach. A warning: if you plan to bring a crowd to Duckworth Bistro (recommended) book a table at least a month in advance."

  • Family Reunion

"First off, I would like to say that Lisa (the owner) is a delightful woman. The house is so unique inside, filled with everything you need to have a wonderful home away from home. Quaint and eccelictic, the rooms are comfortable, neighborhood is close to town. And the price was right. Thank you Lisa for giving my family a place to connect, we had a wonderful time, and are looking forward to staying at your home again. Victoria"

  • Annual Family Vacation

"This was our second summer at the Golden Cottage and it was more enjoyable than the first. The set up of the home, the great views and perfect location make the Golden Cottage a great family gathering spot. Don't miss the Lobster Pot, best lobsters ever and for a special night we would recommend The Market Restaurant in Gloucester."
