Great Location and no-fuss vacationing!
"Cottage has two double beds in separate rooms and three twins in one comfortable space. There is also a small breezy area that we could leave the dog gated in without worry. Kitchen comes fully stocked (might want to bring a bigger coffee pot) and there are towels and linens for all. All hardwood floors make for easy sweep out care and great porch, grilling and private outdoor eating area complete the package. The cottage is close to the street and you have to cross to get to the sidewalk, but Niles Beach is a quick walk around the corner. This beach is wonderful for swimming and the surf is calm for small children. Location is perfect for long walks to Eastern Point lighthouse one way and Rocky Neck art colony the other. Parking is tight for two-three cars but we were able to use the public parking (~1/2 mile away) at Rocky Neck for two gatherings during our stay. Overall-well worth the price and can't beat the location."

"The cottage and its location are a piece (or peace) of heaven. I close my eyes and dream about it when I'm not there. The cottage has lots of character and the owner has thought of everything you might need. Although the cottage is conveniently located near Rockport (walking distance away) and Gloucester, there is NO incentive to leave the property. It is also located in a very lovely area to walk and ride bikes. Lots to do and see in the surrounding area. Highly recommend it"

"This was our 6th year on Plum Island, but our first year at this beach house, and this house is my favorite. It is tastefully decorated with all the amenities and has that homey feel to it. Aside from having plenty of towel, which is a must at a beach house, and on outdoor shower, another must at a beach house in my opinion, it has a lovely view of the basin while being a very short walk to the ocean side/beach. There were plenty of rooms and baths to accommodate our 4 teenagers and us while providing plenty of space and privacy for all. The older kids would be on the lower deck, while the younger teenagers were on the upper deck, while my husband and I enjoyed the front porch. The enclosed front room is lovely for playing games and lounging when you want to be out of the sun but still cozy. Arlene even remembers all the little touches like soap, paper products, basic condiments/spices and even shampoo. I can't say enough great things about this place. And when my daughter lost a sentimental necklace, Arlene retrieved it for us and mailed it to us. We're looking forward to returning. The only thing that would have made it perfect was if we could bring our dog with us, but we find that many places on Plum Island don't permit that."

"Sent a month here and found the accommodations flawless. Brett, the owner, was most helpful. Enjoyed the walks on the nearby beach and the walking trail at our doorstep. Plenty of room for the two of us and two guests. Found a great spot for overstuffed lobster rolls and enjoyed them at the lighthouse park 15 minutes away. Our deposit was very promptly returned."
