Wonderful, clean, centrally located home!
"My family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenagers) all enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back in the future. Everything was as advertised and the back yard patio, beach towels and chairs made the visit even better!"

"The Golden Cottage in Rockport was a gem of a find. We cannot say enough about how wonderful it was for our long weekend getaway! We rented the home for a family get-together, and all 8 of us were very comfy. The bedrooms were all very cozy, bright and airy, and the downstairs rooms were open and spacious. The view from both decks is spectacular -- it was so pleasant waking up to that every morning. And you're only a quick walk down a short garden path to the water. The swimming off the rocks was great, but anyone who ventures down to the public waterfront, please be wary of the incredible amount of poison ivy along the shore! (Fortunately we were all very careful and no one was affected :) . The backyard and gardens are lovely, too --we saw lots of rabbits and fireflies, an added bonus. We wished we were staying for longer!"

Beautiful House & Stay. Unhappy with plumbing bill afterwards....
"This was a gorgeous and comfortable house in a great location. Loved the airy feeling and beachy style. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. Unfortunately, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth after my final dealing with the owner who charged me for a plumber's visit when the hot water stopped working during our stay. It was not a big deal to us as guests and an easy fix as apparently the water heater had somehow become partially unplugged. It took the plumber all of 5 minutes to identify and fix the problem, but the owner kept over $100 of my deposit, claiming that was half of the plumbing charge and saying that I couldn't "prove" I hadn't been in the utility closet and caused the problem. I hadn't been in that area of the house at all, but a contractor she had there doing work earlier in the day was and there were some hand tools stored in there that may have slid down the wall and caused the issue. Who knows. Strange thing to happen. But I don't think I should have been penalized for it. And her attitude about it was very accusatory and unpleasant. Too bad."
