Great Location and no-fuss vacationing!
"Cottage has two double beds in separate rooms and three twins in one comfortable space. There is also a small breezy area that we could leave the dog gated in without worry. Kitchen comes fully stocked (might want to bring a bigger coffee pot) and there are towels and linens for all. All hardwood floors make for easy sweep out care and great porch, grilling and private outdoor eating area complete the package. The cottage is close to the street and you have to cross to get to the sidewalk, but Niles Beach is a quick walk around the corner. This beach is wonderful for swimming and the surf is calm for small children. Location is perfect for long walks to Eastern Point lighthouse one way and Rocky Neck art colony the other. Parking is tight for two-three cars but we were able to use the public parking (~1/2 mile away) at Rocky Neck for two gatherings during our stay. Overall-well worth the price and can't beat the location."

Spacious property, beautiful views, private beach - perfect family vacation!
"This home is exactly as pictured and described, located in a safe, private compound, with a private beach. It is clean, updated and well maintained. Perfect for a large family, especially with small children. My kids loved the ping pong table and the many board games - they did not even use the tv! The beach is an easy, short walk for all ages and the beach cove was calm and uncrowded. We enjoyed it daily. The kitchen is large, well stocked and beautiful, and the deck has truly amazing sunset views of the ocean, with lots of comfortable seating. Having a yard, A/C, bbq, washer/dryer, beach chairs, outdoor shower, etc. made our stay carefree. This is not a party house - it is in a quiet neighborhood and many of the other residents were longtime owners. Exceptionally peaceful way to enjoy family time in Gloucester. Karen was very responsive and helpful, before, during and after our stay!"

"Talk about being centrally located and convenience, you got it here at Al and Barb's home. There's a 7/11, Stop & Shop, Beauty Parlour, ice cream shop and the beach all within walking distance. You can walk to Main St. and all the boutique shops too, if you want? We're open ocean kayakers, and love this place because there was lots of parking on the lot and we didn't have to park our car out on the street with the kayaks on top, like most places. Al said there was room in the back, so we could off load, hose down and store in the back yard.
Inside, the beds were comfortable, wifi worked, and the kitchen was complete. There's big screen tv too. I told Al, my daughter was a finger picking guitarist and he loaned her his personal Taylor acoustic guitar.
Perhaps, the most convenient thing about our stay, was walking over to have breakfast at Zeke's at 5:00 a.m. in the morning. Sit at the counter and watch Mike put on a show for you in making your omelet and French toast. Take home some baked in house bread when you go.
We were lucky to stay here and be able to launch our kayak at various locations around Cape Ann. Our only regret was that we wen't able to stay longer. We really do miss Al and Barb's home..."

"My family just returned from a wonderful stay at the Beachcomber and are already looking forward to going back.
First of all, the house and property were beautiful. There was plenty of room for my 3 generation family to spread out and relax as well as be together. My daughter loved the beautiful back yard to play hide and seek, while my parents enjoyed the beautiful views from the spacious deck. The house is clean and well maintained.
The most important attraction is being mere steps from Long Beach, a real treat with its beautiful sand and sparkling waters. Sunset walks, collecting shells , and splashing in the beautiful water were all a wonderful way to pass the time.
The house is within minutes of great shopping to both downtown Gloucester and Rockport.
Laura was a pleasure to work with, and my family is already counting the days to our return!"
