"Cottage has two double beds in separate rooms and three twins in one comfortable space. There is also a small breezy area that we could leave the dog gated in without worry. Kitchen comes fully stocked (might want to bring a bigger coffee pot) and there are towels and linens for all. All hardwood floors make for easy sweep out care and great porch, grilling and private outdoor eating area complete the package. The cottage is close to the street and you have to cross to get to the sidewalk, but Niles Beach is a quick walk around the corner. This beach is wonderful for swimming and the surf is calm for small children. Location is perfect for long walks to Eastern Point lighthouse one way and Rocky Neck art colony the other. Parking is tight for two-three cars but we were able to use the public parking (~1/2 mile away) at Rocky Neck for two gatherings during our stay. Overall-well worth the price and can't beat the location."

"What a perfect answer for our wonderful Cape Ann vacation. The house is located on a quiet residential area between Gloucester and Rockport, a short walk from Long Beach. What a welcome respite from the congested towns in late August. It was close to Shaw's Grocery store so our breakfast and lunches were easy to prepare in home. Open the windows and let the ocean lull you to sleep or inspire another chapter in your journal. Having Elizabeth's expert local advice was so great in finding the perfect excursions for our family of five. You rent the house from a stranger who quickly becomes so much less so. Elizabeth walked us to the beach, gave us pointers, then we never really saw her again for the rest of the week aside from her delivery of fresh towels. I can't say enough about their hospitality. I would rent again in a heartbeat."

"Our family visited Gloucester for the first time and stayed in this lovely cottage. It was a great location, just up the road from the beautiful beach. Our boys (11 & 12 yrs old) loved digging for hermit crabs (using the buckets and shovels provided at the cottage) and wading in the cool water- they could just walk there from the house. Mary Ann was just lovely and so personable and helpful with directions, what to do, check-in, and any questions! She had great recommendations for whale watching (Cape Ann), shopping and scenic drives and walks. The loft was perfect for the boys. They had their own tv and space to relax. The stairs up to the loft would be challenging for young children or older folks. The kitchen was well stocked, clean and spacious and having the washer/dryer was a plus! The main floor bedroom had plenty of closet and drawer space, extra blankets, and privacy. The cottage is attached to the larger house, which was vacant during our stay. It may have been a little "too close" if we had to share parking and outside space w/ people we didn't know. It would be perfect for 2 families or groups traveling together to rent both cottage and house, since they are attached. Wi-Fi was not always working or a strong signal, but they quickly came out to correct it. Would definitely recommend this rental and working with MaryAnn and Steve. Very friendly and helpful and proud of their lovely town of Gloucester."
