"The views and the proximity are breath taking. You completely forget about your troubles listening to the rhythm of the ocean. The sunsets are beautiful, so are the sunrises. Best yet is the sandbar that appears at low tide so you can walk to the Island. The house is quite comfortable, there is ample parking, and our every need was met. I also love the fact that the owners have a professional house manual that explains everything about the house and the area. Good Harbor Beach is right down the road, an easy walk. We enjoyed watching people with their dogs playing on the beach in the winter, from the warm house. On a cold winter day, the solar gain in the sunroom brought the temps up to a whooping 80 Degrees!! Between the ocean sounds, the ocean view, the sunrises and sunsets, not to mention a crackling fire in the fireplace, this house just can't be more wonderful! We had a wonderful visit and the owner is just a delight to work with and a great communicator, arranging a last minute vacation for our family. We highly recommend this rental."Guest: Joslyn Pollock Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: February 7, 2014View listing
"Our daughter got married at Willowdale Estate. Since we were from out of town, we decided to rent a house within commuting distance to the wedding but near a beach. The Beachcomber was the perfect house for us. Beautiful Long Beach was a short stroll away and the house was stocked with everything you could possibly need including beach chairs and beach towels! Our son loved his room off the upstairs den (complete with pool table). Good Harbor Beach was only a mile away and we could walk easily to the Dairy Maid! Huge cones! Pizza was very good there too! If you simply can't get away from the office, they've got WiFi too. This came in very handy a couple of times for us. All in all, it was a very relaxing place to stay, in a beautiful setting, close to anything you might want or need, for a satisfying holiday. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and hope to go back someday and invite our adult children to join us for a week of coastal fun and relaxation. I highly recommend staying here whether your children are 5 or 25. And if you happen to be hosting or joining a wedding party in the area...renting a house like this is a lifesaver."Guest: Pisces Pat Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 4, 2014View listing
"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bell View was the perfect location and set up for our yearly college reunion! The house was fully equipped both inside and out, something for everyone! There was plenty of room for the kids to have their space and for the adults as well. Loved the many outdoor seating areas, tennis court and large lawn. Lots of bunnies too! Overall very satisfied with our stay and with the amenities of the house. Several beaches were within walking distance which saved a lot on parking fees. Deep sea fishing, stand up paddling and hiking to Halibut Point were the highlights of the week!"Guest: Susie Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 26, 2014View listing

Gloucester vacation rentals have all of that, and then some. Gloucester is a town that is both loaded with vacation activities and steeped in unique history. It's the oldest seaport in the United States, and it's also home to America's oldest arts colony. Gloucester's spectacular landscapes and views have fueled the creative fires of all kinds of artists, from writers (T.S.
