A Wonderful September Week
""Rocky Neck Hideaway" is aptly named. We were thrilled to find this moderately priced, clean, well-equipped rental. Although small, it's nicely laid out, and the two levels make it feel larger. We enjoyed fun walks around Rocky Neck, with its art galleries, restaurants, and interesting houses; a walk of less than a mile to Niles Beach; a walk of less than 2 miles to Good Harbor Beach; and a kayaking trip. The Last Stop Variety, also in walking distance, was great for forgotten items AND delicious muffins. It was easy to drive to downtown Gloucester and elsewhere on Cape Ann. The owner, Elizabeth, is friendly and helpful. We'll definitely consider a return trip!"

"This place was great! We stayed here during a girls' weekend in Salem and the house had everything we needed. It was very clean and very welcoming. We all really enjoyed spending time there. Downtown was in walking distance and ranged from about a 10 to a 20 minute walk, depending on where you want to go. We also used Uber when it rained, which is available in Salem. Mary was lovely - she greeted me right when I checked in and was super helpful."

Clean, comfortable, well-appointed, close to beach and village with parking!
"The title says it all. This is a very clean, updated, comfortable unit in an excellent location, nearly equidistant from the seaside village of Rockport and the comfy Front Beach. By foot, it's two minutes to dining, shopping, and galleries and about five minutes to Front Beach. Though close to the village, it's not loud, as it's tucked down a side street leading to a beautiful granite pier. One can see the ocean and pier from the numerous windows and from the cozy porch. The dedicated off-street parking space is a dream, and makes it far more enticing to take short day trips of the surrounding area--and there's lots to do within a short drive including a selection of larger beaches, whale watching, and various historical tours. There's also a train station that's about a 15 minute walk for those inclined to see Boston without the hassle of driving. Although we don't have pets, the upstairs renters had dog, and it's pet friendly. We come to Rockport every year and this was by far our favorite place."

"We rented this house for a week with extended family. It really worked well for all our needs, and our visitors. Lots of room and sleeping space. A great, open layout and we could gather lots of people around the dinner table -- both inside and out. Had all the amenities -- great TV, wifi worked fine, etc. The location was excellent; an easy walk to Long Beach or Good Harbor. And I was amazed how quiet the neighborhood was at night. Wonderful all around!"
