  • The beach and the ocean are the yard!

"This was our second year staying here. The location is wonderful and the beach is clean and sandy. There is a large, comfortable deck with a well-kept grill and the entire deck overlooks the beach and the ocean. The units are very clean and comfortable and the owner goes to exceptional lengths to ensure guests comfort. The layout of the house is great, with a large, well-equiped, clean (the appliances are new/newer) kitchen, with a sliding glass door opening to the deck. The bedrooms are very comfortable and clean and there's a full bath with a tub and shower. This section of the beach is not congested and very family friendly. Although there are two units, one upstairs (where we stayed), and one downstairs, we never felt like we were sharing a house. There is a rare feeling of privacy which is hard to come by. At night, there are fireworks on the beach and you can see the firework disiplays in Hampton Beach which is only a five minute drive. Oh, yes, although we don't fish, many days folks were pulling in very large fish just by fishing from the shore. We have been looking for the perfect vacation spot for years and we have found it. We are planning on staying two weeks next year."

  • Manchester by the sea

"The house was perfect for our stay. The owner thought of everything. However, I would recommend that when you book a property you check that about construction. There were three houses that were being constructed right across the street. Unfortunately, work started before 8am and was performed throughout the holiday weekend (including Sunday)."

  • Hands Down - - The best view on Plum Island

"I had an extended stay at Gray Gull - - long enough to enjoy a change of seasons. There is NO better location on the island - - None. Direct waterfront with stunning water views to the south, the west and the north. The welcoming deck looks west and across the harbor to the city and steeples of Newburyport. Every sunset is different and often stunning. The house is cosy and flooded with sunshine. The owners have furnished the house well and tastefully. It is a " feel good house". The location affords privacy but is close to everything including all the many sights and activities of Newburyport. It is clear that the owners take great pride in there property and make every effort to accommodate their guests. I highly recommend Gray Gull with qualification."

  • a lovely visit

"This apartment has the most perfect location in Rockport - perfect if you want to be right on the water, steps away from shops, above great coffee, next door to fabulous ice cream, up the street from fantastic lobster... Comfortable, with a great washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, all kitchen equipment you could want and a bright and airy feel. Even the shower does not disappoint - great water pressure! The only challenge is parking. On street parking is sometimes available but not always at the height of the season. We rented a parking place at the Peg Leg Inn and that solved that problem. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return!"
