  • Adorable Home - Convenient location

"Adorable home with great sized kitchen; washer & dryer are a bonus to renters; living room could use a comfortable chair as an alternative to the sectional couch for seating; bedrooms are accommodating, however a bed in one upstairs bedroom had a broken box spring frame. The backyard picture is outdated - unfortunately the lovely flower garden in the center of the back yard no longer exists - it is now a large unkept overgrown circle of some sort of thorny bush - difficult for small children to play around. As noted in another review - the stairs are extremely steep for young children to navigate and upstairs bedrooms have no doors for privacy or sound control from downstairs. Otherwise this house is a great location, easy walk to Rockport village shops, restaurants and lovely Front Beach - quiet & peaceful to watch sailboat classes and paddle boarders ."

  • Fantastic Winter Escape

"We arrived on Plum Island during a small Nor'Easter but upon driving up to this charming cottage on the beach, our minds forgot about the weather, we entered through the door and we spent the next 6 days enjoying this wonderful and relaxing cottage. We enjoyed the home very much and it really was an easy decision for our group of 4 adults to rent this cottage over a couple of hotel rooms. Newburyport is a quick drive up the road, we found all we needed to make our week a perfect time. The home is well furnished, the kitchen is fully stocked with great appliances and dishwares, the beds were comfy, the bathrooms perfect and the fireplace came in handy a couple of the cold nights to take the chill out of the air, although the heat worked very well in the home too. The lobster pot was used often as we enjoyed buying our lobsters in town or right from the lobstermen in Gloucester, a quick and easy drive from the cottage. If we return to the area, we will definitely return to the cottage and rent again."

  • Truly a home away from home

"However, we are from SW MO, so this was better than home! the seaside cottage feel of the walkout basement apt., made me forget We were actually sharing the house with the owners Stan, Sandy, and Katie! Our days were full driving around Cape Ann taking in Breakfast in downtown Gloucester at Sweet Magnolia's with pineapple fritters, clam chowder in Rockport, and up to dinner a short drive north to Portsmouth NH, down to eating tasty crab cakes at the Woods at the wharf in historic Plymouth. All info provided in our apt booklets provided by our hosts! as well as a bottle of wine, bottled water, Sodas, coffee, teas and the feeling they thought of everything and all first class! Daily newspapers greeted us at the door overlooking the private seating areas and protected cozy Lane's Cove. The furnishings were delightful, color and comfort. The place looks like a professional decorated it with great taste and love for the arts! We hated to leave, but 3 nights were all we had time for as we continued west to look at the fall color. Will definitely want to return!"
