"Awesome relaxing, total freedom, beautiful fully appointed home. LOVED it! Sunset every evening, perfect for entertaining as well. No dishwasher or garbage disposal tho,.. and concerned that they don't recycle.... so we did some ourselves. Grew up in area, we have extensive knowledge of area, so this was great for us!"

"The house has everything you would want and more. The beach is a short walk and I wish we hadn't bothered to bring chairs and an umbrella because everything was there. I was impressed at the quality of the linens--fluffy towels and cotton sheets. I felt like I was pampered in an upscale hotel. I actually caught the sunrise on the roof deck one morning--a very special experience. Paula and John were very accommodating, even calling the night before to see if we had any questions."

"I live in Newburyport, only three miles away from this location, and we rented the house off-season for my family to stay in when they were in town visiting. It was November and a little too cold to make use of the outdoor space but the inside of the house was warm and comforting. Eleanor was a very responsive host and the house had all the essentials you would need for a short or long stay. Although not right on the beach, the lot across Northern Boulevard is empty so you could still see the sunrise and the ocean from the second floor. The bedrooms do not have TVs and a large dinner table make the house conducive to time with family or friends. If you are looking for a party house at the beach this is not it but if you are looking for a beautiful comfortable space to stay and enjoy all the area has to offer, you've found it."

"This was our 6th year on Plum Island, but our first year at this beach house, and this house is my favorite. It is tastefully decorated with all the amenities and has that homey feel to it. Aside from having plenty of towel, which is a must at a beach house, and on outdoor shower, another must at a beach house in my opinion, it has a lovely view of the basin while being a very short walk to the ocean side/beach. There were plenty of rooms and baths to accommodate our 4 teenagers and us while providing plenty of space and privacy for all. The older kids would be on the lower deck, while the younger teenagers were on the upper deck, while my husband and I enjoyed the front porch. The enclosed front room is lovely for playing games and lounging when you want to be out of the sun but still cozy. Arlene even remembers all the little touches like soap, paper products, basic condiments/spices and even shampoo. I can't say enough great things about this place. And when my daughter lost a sentimental necklace, Arlene retrieved it for us and mailed it to us. We're looking forward to returning. The only thing that would have made it perfect was if we could bring our dog with us, but we find that many places on Plum Island don't permit that."
