  • Fantastic rental!

"We decided to take our family to Salem Ma around Halloween and we found this rental on VRBO. From the moment we inquired on the rental the owner is so nice, friendly and welcoming. The condo is just fabulous, it's very spacious! When the condo was renovated they spent a lot of time on the details. We were all impressed and really enjoyed our time. We even spent a night in and made dinner, the condo was supplied with cooking supplies which was very helpful! We had such a relaxing family night in - which was much needed! I'm so glad we found this rental, we would all love to visit again!"

  • Lovely little home away from home.

"The photos do it absolute justice. We loved our week long stay in this little piece of heaven. The attention to detail involved in the cottage is impressive. The front porch area is a great place to spend the early morning watching the fish in the little pond. The plum cove beach area is about a 5 minute walk down the street. The little parking garage is a bit tricky to get in to, and be sure there is purple trash bags on your stay. The city wont pick up trash unless you use the city sanctioned bags. We had to go buy our own but the local convenience store has them. The shower was amazing and the whole house integrated sound system was a nice feature also. The wifi was a bit spotty it seemed to come and go. On our visit we checked out the lighthouse area around the breakers, went on the 7 sea's whale watch, ate plenty of clams, cooked our own lobsters (there is a big boiling pot included), drove around the entire cape, checked out Salem, visited Cape Pond Ice, saw the Hammond Castle and went to the Ryan & Wood distillery. There is so much to see and do in the area, that a week is not enough time to see all the sites. I would highly recommend a stay at this little cottage its perfect for a couple visiting the area."

  • Great location!

"This was the 1st time we have rented using VRBO and it was a positive experience. We just returned from 4 glorious days at this beach house. There was plenty of room for all of us; mom, dad, 2 middle school boys, and Nana. The house was clean when we arrived, we paid for linens and bath towels which worked out great, kitchen is well equipped, beds were comfy, gas grill, lots of windows for the ocean breeze. Eric, the property manager, is very nice, was attentive to our few needs, and gave us some tourist suggestions. Email communication and reservation process with the owner went very smoothly. Would definitely rent this property again!"

  • A Wonderful September Week

""Rocky Neck Hideaway" is aptly named. We were thrilled to find this moderately priced, clean, well-equipped rental. Although small, it's nicely laid out, and the two levels make it feel larger. We enjoyed fun walks around Rocky Neck, with its art galleries, restaurants, and interesting houses; a walk of less than a mile to Niles Beach; a walk of less than 2 miles to Good Harbor Beach; and a kayaking trip. The Last Stop Variety, also in walking distance, was great for forgotten items AND delicious muffins. It was easy to drive to downtown Gloucester and elsewhere on Cape Ann. The owner, Elizabeth, is friendly and helpful. We'll definitely consider a return trip!"
