  • A splendid family weekend

"Round Pond Cottage is indeed exquisite--a true find. The cottage is tastefully renovated and decorated, immaculate and thoughtfully outfitted with everything we could have imagined needing for our stay. It was a lovely spot for our family to gather to welcome a new grandchild and celebrate a birthday. We found the water in the tranquil pond warm enough in September for a dip as well as a paddle. The bedrooms are wonderfully comfortable and the spacious kitchen superbly designed and equipped. We enjoyed exploring the cranberry bogs and other ponds nearby, and we hope to return for a longer escape."

  • A lovely family gathering

"We had a fabulous vacation at "Easy Street". All ten of us had plenty of room to relax in comfort, and many activities could happen at once in this beautifully appointed home. The beach was a short walk and the folding chairs and rolling carts provided made it very easy to roll down to the beach. Lots of sun and shade as needed. Fun town nearby."

  • Perfect family vacation

"We've booked the property for the past two summers and are already planning our third! It's tastefully decorated throughout, and the owners have stocked the home for a beach holiday. Everything you need: beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and a ton of toys- even boogie boards! - the owners have thought of everything. The outdoor, enclosed shower was perfect for both kids and adults returning from the beach. If you do have kids, the enclosed backyard was PERFECT for us! We could send them out there worry free during dinner prep time. Out-of-towners might not know but this house is on the best stretch of the beach. You will not be disappointed with this property!"

  • Fantastic rare historic home

"My sister visited from Europe and our two families stayed at this truly incredible home for a June vacation. All of us were in awe when we arrived and started exploring. The 1684 house seemed compact from the outside, but as we went through the hallways and stairs and discovered room after room after room, we found that we had to go through the house again to take it all in. The house has been meticulously maintained and restored, with antiques and period furnishings throughout. Each room is an absolute pleasure to take in, not only for the incredible 17th century woodwork, but also for the furnishings, which all have beautiful natural textures, warm neutral hues, and deep rich antique bronzes. We made our way out the back door and were in awe anew when we saw the yard and garden. The house sits atop a small river valley, and you are surrounded by lush greenery and the sound of the rushing water below. The yard is terraced, and the top terrace has a covered patio. The brick patio has dining seating as well as Adirondack chairs. Down some stone stairs is the next level, with wood chairs and a firepit. Down the next set of stairs is a gated fence (nice safety feature). Behind that gate was a surprise circular deck (like a large "O") which allowed you to walk along in the dappled light under the trees to the old well and stream (now a lily pond) and down to the mill stream with the Plymouth Grist Mill on the opposite bank. The beautiful towering foliage, colorful flowers, birdsong, and rushing water make the backyard a wonderfully tranquil and restful sanctuary. This is not just a place to stay. It's a place to experience. You get to enjoy a 17th century home with hidden modern luxuries. The Sub zero refrigerators, television, and wifi router are hidden behind cabinets. The beautiful quilt on the bed has a fluffy down comforter underneath. The kitchen is better equipped than any home we've rented through VRBO throughout the years. Other highlights: - Proximity to everything we cared about: lovely beaches, historical sites (there is a gorgeous tree-lined path along the river that you can take from the grist mill to Plymouth Rock), an 18 minute drive to Cape Cod, and an hour drive to Boston. - Variety of bedrooms and bed sizes - Sitting areas on both the 1st floor and 2nd floor - A layout that thrilled the kids - "I found a hidden staircase!" - A thoroughly clean house, gleaming tile showers - A wonderful property contact We absolutely loved it!"
