  • The BEST!

"We've rented properties in Scituate before. This one was the best ever. Great beach access to the less-crowded area of Peggotty. Great for the kids (toy trucks made it up and down the beach several times, hunting little crabs at low tide). Chairs, toys, and beach towels provided. Great porch for socializing/reading/noshing. Friendly and fun neighbors. Beautiful salt marsh behind with herons, egrets, and other local wildlife. Easy access to the Villiage Market for groceries and other shopping / dining opportunities. Who needs Cape Cod?"

  • Beautiful summer vacation

"This is one of my favorite places to stay. The house is perfectly appointed and comfortable for family gatherings. The huge deck is great for relaxing and watching the tide come and go. My kids have found snails, starfish, and crabs in the tidal pools on the rocks. It's a place to be as active as you like with beach activities and kayaks or to get away from it all. We'll be back next year!"

  • Perfect for a family summer vacation

"This was a perfect spot for our family of 6 with lots of space for guests and plenty of amenities for all ages. The owners were very helpful with answering our questions and making sure we had a pleasant stay. The kitchen was well-stocked, and there were plenty of kids toys and games, beach chairs and other equipment, linens and beach towels, etc. We didn't lack for anything, and the house was clean and well maintained. The top floor with bedroom, bath, roomy living area, and balcony (with fantastic views) is amazing. Scituate Harbor has some very good restaurants, and the ferry to Boston from nearby Hingham is quick and easy. We strongly recommend a day trip to the big city. The house is right on the beach - you can't get any closer. Walks at low tide were so nice, and watching the sun rise and set while sitting on the front doesn't get any better than that. We highly recommend this property and hope to return soon."

  • 50th Birthday Surprise

"We stayed at this lovely house for a weekend with some friends to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. Nancy was very accomodating, allowing us check in a little early and we didn't have to check out until 3:00 on Sunday, which we took full advantage of.The house was sparkling clean and well furnished. It was just the right size for our group (there were 9 of us) and we especially liked the open floor plan. Our favorite part of the house, of course, was the spectacular view!! Lucky for us, the October weather was sunny and warm. We watched seals play on the rocks just off the shore, and used the binoculars that were provided to spy on passing ships. Our only complaint was that we couldn't find the remote for the gas-fireplace, but that was hardly a big deal. We all agreed that we would very much like to come back to this spot! Thanks so much for helping us make good memories!!!!"

Scituate Travel Tips

A Lovely Seacoast Community by Scituate Vacation Rentals

Situated equidistant between Boston and Plymouth is the lovely seacoast community of Scituate. Scituate vacation rentals will put you and your group in the heart of all that this wonderful community has to offer its visitors. Incorporated more than 375 years ago, this former colonial village has retained some of the flavor of its past, yet actively embracing the present.

Activities and History throughout Scituate

There are many activities, many ocean related, that you and your group can enjoy. Visit the Town Pier with a working fishing fleet. Other historic places to visit include the Scituate Lighthouse, the Old Oaken Bucket Homestead and Well, Lawson Tower, Stockbridge Mill, and the Cudworth House as well as the Little Red School House, which is the home of the Scituate Historical Society. All of these sites are close to amenity-filled Scituate beach homes. These accommodations are a budget-friendly and comfortable alternative to traditional hotels.

Scituate also features two historical lighthouses—Old Scituate Light, located on the northern harbor that is known for its role in the War of 1812, and Minot's Ledge Light.

A Short Trip to Boston or Plymouth

Because of its proximity to Boston and Plymouth, you won't want to miss visiting this history-filled area. From your south of Boston lodging, you can pack up a picnic lunch and take off for a day's adventure—perhaps you'll visit the site of the Boston Tea Party or the shores where the pioneers landed on Plymouth.

Your dining options include preparing your own home-cooked meal in your private kitchen or visiting one of Scituate's favorite spots including The Barker, Satuit Tavern, and the Mill Wharf Restaurant. Or take a short trip to take in offerings in Boston or Plymouth.

Offering comfort, privacy, and a full complement of amenities, Scituate vacation rentals will keep you coming back.
