  • Girls Weekend

"The house and ground were beautiful and everything that we could hope for. Immaculate condition and very peaceful! We were there in early October and had some weather but that did not matter. Saw many freighters and enjoyed the beautiful view of Lake Huron. We will definitely be back! Thanks Gale!!"

  • Relaxing lake house with all the conveniences of home

"We (4 couples and 4 children under 5yo) stayed at this lake house for a week and had plenty of room for family style dinners, outdoor games, places to tie off 2 boats, and still had private areas for quite time and catching rays etc. The house is completely up to date in amenities and style. The only thing we found hindering us in the kitchen was the lack of a mixer of any sort so I'd recommend bringing a hand mixer if a whisk won't cut it. Both a Keurig and standard coffee maker are available which was great for a group of differing tastes and wake up times. The Sanford Lake Park is a must-do! Gorgeous maintained beach, charcoal grills, volleyball courts, huge splash pad/park for the kids, accessible by a 30 min boat ride or a 10 minute drive ($10 entry to park vehicles). We went there twice and everyone loved it! We had a couple rainy/cooler days and still didn't go stir crazy because there are so many areas of the house to occupy and the covered patio of the walk-out basement was great for letting the kids run off some energy and stay reasonably dry. The lot itself is beautiful and secluded, you can't hardly see the neighbors on either side. It was so peaceful sitting on the porch to enjoy coffee or a book, etc. Thanks Kip and Nicole for sharing your retreat with us!"

  • Incredibly Thankful!

"I cannot say enough wonderful things about Denise (owner) and Julie (groundskeeper/problem solver extraordinaire)! My husband Steve and I were married at the castle on October 4th - unfortunately the weather was a bit challenging... we had rain leading up to the wedding and cold temperatures. Julie helped to ensure the grounds were beautiful for our wedding, helping to fix the large muddy areas that the rain caused. Despite the weather challenges, we had an incredible experience at the castle. From the moment we met Denise, we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. The entire experience was so special to us and we could not be happier with how it all worked out. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us and with our families, what an amazing way to begin our lives together!"

  • Lovely Cottage You Won't Forget

"This is a truly lovely cottage/home. It is spacious, airy, well-furnished, and a perfect place to get away with family or friends. You will want to come back, as we have, because you cannot beat the location, the comfort of the sunny and clean home, and the relaxation of the deck, large back yard, and easy access to the beach. It's worth every penny, and you will not regret picking this one!"
