"Beautiful home, great location with everything you need for the perfect getaway! We had 7 girls and there was plenty of room and we all had a blast. Sat on the beach, watched wild life and the one day it rained we sat in the gazebo and watched the storm roll in over the lake. Already booked a date for next year and cannot wait to go back. Matt and Mary were very accomodating. Love this place!"

Relaxing lake house with all the conveniences of home
"We (4 couples and 4 children under 5yo) stayed at this lake house for a week and had plenty of room for family style dinners, outdoor games, places to tie off 2 boats, and still had private areas for quite time and catching rays etc. The house is completely up to date in amenities and style. The only thing we found hindering us in the kitchen was the lack of a mixer of any sort so I'd recommend bringing a hand mixer if a whisk won't cut it. Both a Keurig and standard coffee maker are available which was great for a group of differing tastes and wake up times.
The Sanford Lake Park is a must-do! Gorgeous maintained beach, charcoal grills, volleyball courts, huge splash pad/park for the kids, accessible by a 30 min boat ride or a 10 minute drive ($10 entry to park vehicles). We went there twice and everyone loved it!
We had a couple rainy/cooler days and still didn't go stir crazy because there are so many areas of the house to occupy and the covered patio of the walk-out basement was great for letting the kids run off some energy and stay reasonably dry.
The lot itself is beautiful and secluded, you can't hardly see the neighbors on either side. It was so peaceful sitting on the porch to enjoy coffee or a book, etc.
Thanks Kip and Nicole for sharing your retreat with us!"

"This is a truly lovely cottage/home. It is spacious, airy, well-furnished, and a perfect place to get away with family or friends. You will want to come back, as we have, because you cannot beat the location, the comfort of the sunny and clean home, and the relaxation of the deck, large back yard, and easy access to the beach. It's worth every penny, and you will not regret picking this one!"

"I recently decided to take a last minute trip from my home in New Mexico to visit relatives in the Lapeer Michigan (where I was born and raised) area. I stayed with a close cousin for a few days in North Branch and an aunt in Davison for a few more. My dilemma was that I have a daughter with a large family (four children) who wanted to come up to see me from Ohio for a few days. I didn't want to impose on other family members to provide room for my daughter and her kids, so I searched on-line for a cottage rental in the Lapeer area.
I was happy to find this cottage tucked away on quiet Potters Lake. It is very close to all the amenities one may need while on holiday, what with Lapeer located only six miles to the east. I found the cottage very much to my liking as it was warm and cozy with a tremendous amount of room and a fantastic view of the lake.
The owners, Mike and Lori, were extememely nice and very accommodating. They went out of their way to insure that I had everything I needed to make my stay an enjoyable experience. They respected my privacy completely, yet made themselves available with a quick phone call should a need arise.
I am looking forward to going back to Potters Lake during a warmer month (my thin New Mexican blood in mind) and sharing this great cottage and Potters Lake experience with my wife and two younger children in the near future.
Thanks again for a great time Mike and Lori.
