  • Girls Weekend

"The house and ground were beautiful and everything that we could hope for. Immaculate condition and very peaceful! We were there in early October and had some weather but that did not matter. Saw many freighters and enjoyed the beautiful view of Lake Huron. We will definitely be back! Thanks Gale!!"

  • Lovely cottage!

"We loved this cottage in Lexington. It is right downtown but on a beautful lot. The house has beautiful wood floors, a very nice kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The only thing missing is a bathroom on the second floor."

  • Absolutely Gorgeous Wedding Venue

"This home is gorgeous, spacious and has stunning views. We rented this house for our daughters wedding (approx. 70 ppl) We had planned on having the ceremony on the beach and the reception on the bluff. However, Mother Nature had other plans and decided to make it rain just before the ceremony :( Time to improvise! We decided to have the ceremony inside, standing room only. We moved all the furniture to the perimeter of the room and everyone gathered around to watch her come down the spectacular staircase to stand in front of the fireplace. After the ceremony, the round tables and chairs were brought into the living room and entry area, table cloths went on and centerpieces in place. Chef Shell's grilled on site and dinner was set up in the basement. One by one we sent tables down to get dinner. After dinner we broke down the tables and left the chairs around the perimeter of the room and had the dance floor in the living room. The dj set up between the dining and living room opening. We had lots of room! A great time was had by all! Everyone complimented us on the beauty of the home, grounds and lake. The bride and groom's family were all able to take advantage of spending the night in the spacious rooms. The only "glitch" (besides the rain) was I didn't realize we had to ask for "linens at an extra charge" I missed that in the description. Wasn't a huge issue but linens (for the price of renting) should be included. My only regret was not having enough time to enjoy the lake we love so much! Peter, the owner, was so nice and very accommodating. Normally only renting for the week, he made an exception and let us rent for 2 days since it was the middle of the week on a week that wasn't already booked. So very thankful!! I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to have a gorgeous wedding!"

  • Love this place

"The last review here was a negative one, do not let that be your decision maker. My family had a wonderful week here. Josh was very accommodating to us. The beach is clean and sandy. The master bedroom is on the lakeside. While laying in the most comfortable mattress I have ever been on, I had a clear view of the lake. Honestly this place is wonderful and am already planning next years vacation."

Lexington Travel Tips

Visit Charming Lexington with Lexington Vacation Rentals

Located on the shores of Lake Huron is Lexington, Michigan, a charming Victorian village. VRBO.com's Lexington vacation rentals are a perfect option to exploring all that this area has to offer.

Lexington was one of the first settlements on Lake Huron and was initially a shipping point for lumber and then agricultural products. Lexington's docks were destroyed in 1913, which nearly decimated that town's economy.

Boating and Diving Are Just Two Activities Found in Lexington

Boating is still an important part of Lexington. Visitors should not miss the Harbor of Refuge featuring a natural limestone seawall and walkway. This Harbor is recognized as one of Michigan's most spectacular. You can explore this wonderful area from your Lexington lodging with amenities galore that will make you feel right at home!

East Central Michigan lake houses in Lexington from VRBO.com are just minutes from other Lexington attractions such as the Sanilac Shores Underwater Preserve. Divers from across the country visit this preserve. There are at least four shipwrecks to be explored and even amateur divers can view at least two of those wrecks.

So Much to Do and See in Lexington

If diving is not your style, visit McCallum's Orchard and Cider Mill or Moeller's Apple Orchards where you can pick and eat fresh fruit such as raspberries, cherries, peaches, apples, and more! You can also visit Rub Farms Cider Mill and Petting Zoo.

There's Teirney Park with a break wall pier, playground, picnic areas, and swimming areas. And the Sanilac County Historical Museum and Village is a definite "don't miss"! After a day of exploring Lexington and enjoying its activities, you can prepare a meal in the kitchen of your vacation home or head out to one of the restaurants nearby. All of these wonderful amenities will make this a destination you'll want to visit again.
