"We were in the area for a wedding and family reunion. It was a wonderful, secluded, peaceful yet convenient to everything you would need. The house accommodated 4 families which was perfect for the reunion. Travel to Caseville beach was also a wonderful treat."

"The title of this review says a lot. We came back. I think that this place rates four stars but my wife thinks three. Like any place, there are positives and negatives. The location is great with wonderful views of Lake Huron. We saw the lake with whitecaps and placid, it changes quickly. The beach is sand, but turns rocky as you enter the water. Be careful if you wish to beach your boat or watercraft. The deck overlooking the lake is nice, and there is a lot of space for lawn games too. Since our first use of this house in 2009, some of the furniture has become worn and showing rips and stains. The mattresses are good but the pillows need replacement. You might wish to bring your own. Read the listing carefully and you'll find under "Other Amenities" that there is an extra charge for the linens. Hardly an amenity. Frankly, it's not practical to bring your own sheets. I suggest that the property owner adjust the rental charge to include the linens and cleaning fee rather than show them individually. Cell phone reception is poor and we never found the telephone that the listing shows. We used the ping pong and pool tables in the basement, particularly when we had some rain and it was good that they were available. There is plenty of silverware and glassware, and probably too many utensils. The pots and pans show a lot of use and some should be replaced. It fact, the kitchen could use some organization. The house provides plenty of space for eating and just sitting around and relaxing, and on a couple of occasions, the air conditioning was very welcome. There are two refrigerators which was a good thing since the one in the kitchen was slow to get cool initially. The microwave works but the controls are confusing. The oven and cooking top are electric and they took some getting used to. The oven temperature may not be accurate. The washer/dryer is a relatively small combo unit so don't plan on doing a lot of laundry. Fortunately, there is a new laundry place in Lexington. The village of Lexington is very nice, with shopping and a couple of interesting brew houses and restaurants. You can't beat the pizza at Steiss's and the Windjammer offers a full menu and a great harbor view. Wimpy's is a fixture in town and usually very busy. Consider ordering for carryout. Bunny's about five miles south of Lexington on M-25 has great custard. We enjoyed our 2015 family reunion here."

"We had a wonderful weekend staying at this Caseville cabin. It is within walking distance of grocery stores, bars, and downtown shops. Great fire pit and outdoor space. However- there isn't really clear beach access, we had no idea how to get there and couldn't find access so we had to use the public beach by town."
